Theses

The threat encompassing the critical computing infrastructure nations depend upon has shifted. A new dynamic of adversaries leveraging a playbook of highly sophisticated, organized, and well funded cyber attacks has emerged. These adversaries penetrate networks using exploits, tools, and techniques that are not detected by traditional client and network security software. Compromised networks stand to lose irreparable amounts of sensitive information and trade secrets if confidentiality is lost. The threat has shifted, but detection and response mechanisms have largely remained the same. They have maintained the same largely ineffective result these advanced adversaries count on.

Background

Studies have demonstrated that perceived health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of patients receiving hemodialysis is significantly impaired. Since HRQOL outcome data are often used to compare groups to determine health care effectiveness it is imperative that measures of HRQOL are valid. However, valid HRQOL comparisons between groups can only be made if instrument invariance is demonstrated. The Kidney Disease Quality of Life-Short Form (KDQOL-SF) is a widely used HRQOL measure for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) however, it has not been validated in the Veteran population. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah efikasi diri, pusat kendali, dan persepsi tenaga kerja dapat dijadikan prediktor yang akurat untuk memprediksi pencapaian prestasi kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3), serta untuk menguji apakah model pencapaian prestasi K3 yang disusun dengan melibatkan interaksi tenaga kerja dengan lingkungannya cukup tepat. Dengan pendekatan cross sectional, penelitian dilakukan terhadap 200 orang responden pada perusahaan kayu di Kalimantan Timur. Variabel bebas terdiri dari efikasi diri, pusat kendali, dan persepsi tenaga kerja. Variabel tergantung yaitu prestasi K3, sedangkan variabel moderator adalah lingkungan fisik dan kimia kerja. Salah satu penyebab utama angka kematian bayi yang tinggi adalah masalah berat badan lahir di bawah 2500 gram (berat badan lahir rendah). Berdasarkan data dari Statistik Rumah Sakit Indonesia tahun 2005, sekitar 40,7% kematian bayi disebabkan oleh berat lahir rendah, pertumbuhan janin yang lambat, malnutrisi janin, dan gangguan yang berhubungan dengan kecukupan masa kehamilan. Angka BBLR di RSUD Pasar Rebo pada tahun 2007 mencapai 8,7%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi berat lahir menggunakan data rekam medis RSUD Pasar Rebo.
