An Experimental Analysis Of The Influence Of Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives On Beliefs, Attitudes And Behavioral Intentions Within The Context Of Corporate, Ashlea Hudak
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Recently, the use of corporate social responsibility initiatives has grown in popularity and prominence among organizations as research increasingly suggests that these initiatives positively impact the corporation's bottom line. This study contributes to theory driven research in strategic communications by using an experimental design to test the influence of six distinct corporate social responsibility initiatives, as identified by Kotler and Lee (2005), on the beliefs, attitudes, and behavioral intention of message receivers, using Fishbein and Ajzen's (1975, 2005) theory of reasoned action as a theoretical framework. According to Fishbein and Ajzen (1975), attitudes about an object are the result of …

Few would dispute that the rapidly escalating cost of health care is one of the most pressing issues facing our nation today. Even a cursory review of the media reveals intense public concern over a healthcare system that can use the most advanced technology to miraculous therapeutic effect, but whose emergent behavior is far from ideal. Rapidly rising healthcare costs threaten the competitiveness of U. S. manufacturing and service companies in the global econmy, creating intense pressure to move offshore. Indeed one can make the case that the best way to help competitiveness prospects for U. S. industries as a …

Youth Competitors Gain Benefits From Horse Show Judges’ Training Program, Patricia A. Evans, Scott Mckendrick, John Wesley, Justen Smith
Journal of Youth Development
This article details how youth benefit from a horse show judges’ training program. While judging is subjective, with training, judges can be more consistent in their placings, with the better horses and/or riders being placed at the top of the class. With qualified judges, youth can be more confident that they will be evaluated in a fair and consistent manner during each show all season long.

Molybdoproteomes And Evolution Of Molybdenum Utilization, Yan Zhang, Vadim N. Gladyshev
Molybdoproteomes And Evolution Of Molybdenum Utilization, Yan Zhang, Vadim N. Gladyshev
Vadim Gladyshev Publications
The trace element molybdenum (Mo) is utilized in many life forms, where it is a key component of several enzymes involved in nitrogen, sulfur, and carbon metabolism. With the exception of nitrogenase, Mo is bound in proteins to a pterin, thus forming the molybdenum cofactor (Moco) at the catalytic sites of molybdoenzymes. Although a number of molybdoenzymes are well characterized structurally and functionally, evolutionary analyses of Mo utilization are limited. Here, we carried out comparative genomic and phylogenetic analyses to examine occurrence and evolution of Mo utilization in bacteria, archaea, and eukaryotes at the level of (i) Mo transport and …

Role Of Place Of Residence On Drinking And Driving Among Students In A Hispanic Serving University
Role Of Place Of Residence On Drinking And Driving Among Students In A Hispanic Serving University
Florida Public Health Review
This study describes the role of place of residence on drinking and driving among students in a large Hispanic- serving institution. The National College Health Assessment survey was administered during the fall of 2004. 1130 randomly selected students completed this anonymous questionnaire. Hispanic students were less likely to drive after drinking compared to non-Hispanic white students, but Hispanic students were more likely to live with parents (55%) compared with non-Hispanic white students (22%). After adjusting for the place of residence, there were no significant differences in drinking and driving between Hispanics and non-Hispanic white students. Therefore, in part, lower levels …
