The Battle Of The Bulge: Evaluating Law As A Weapon Against Obesity, Margaret Sova Mccabe

"Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids." Since the 1970s, kids have gotten to know the silly rabbit created to promote sugary, fruit-flavored cereal in television ads. Today, "i'm lovin' it" is the McDonald's slogan, but to millions of children the more recognizable symbol is Ronald McDonald. Ronald McDonald is so recognizable that one study pegged recognition of Ronald among American children at 96% and another at 80% by children in nine other countries. Given the "obesity crisis," many question whether these ads should be permitted, with some questioning whether such products are even safe for children's consumption. The Trix Rabbit …

Since the Motor Vehicle Highway (MVH) and Local Road and Street (LRS) Accounts are the principal source of funds for local road or street construction and maintenance operations, this summary may be used to see the trends in income sources and in the expenses charged to the funds prior to their being distributed to the highway, road, and street agencies.

Emphasizing Foreign Language Use To International Marketing Students: A Situational Exercise That Mimics Real-World Challenges, Tracy L. Melin, Nina M. Ray

An international marketing exercise consists of students orally providing an introduction in a chosen foreign language of what they, as potential salespeople, might say to a client in that country. Students speak (not read) their prepared statements to the class and are leniently, yet constructively, evaluated on language use and pronunciation and marketing credibility. The objective is to emulate a real business situation and to show students the challenges of working with different languages and cultures in international marketing and the imperfections of direct translation.
