The Trials Of Oscar Wilde: An Account, Douglas O. Linder
The Trials Of Oscar Wilde: An Account, Douglas O. Linder
Faculty Works
Old Bailey, the main courthouse in London, had never presented a show quite like the three trials that captivated England and much of the literary world in the spring of 1895. Celebrity, sex, witty dialogue, political intrigue, surprising twists, and important issues of art and morality - is it any surprise that the trials of Oscar Wilde continue to fascinate one hundred years after the death of one of the world's greatest authors and playwrights?

Human Rights & Human Welfare
“9/11 changed everything.” Not really. In fact, there has been far more continuity than change over the past six years in both international and domestic politics. Nonetheless, human rights often have been harmed—although not by terrorism but by “the war on terror.”

Writing Over Silence: The Asian-American In-Between Identity, Amy Scott
Writing Over Silence: The Asian-American In-Between Identity, Amy Scott
BYU Asian Studies Student Journal
My daily routine is pure ritual and thus pure theatre. A routinely perfect production of a comfortable unwritten script: stage dark, save for a dim morning light; spot on tousseled black hair, white pillow, and a blanket nest. Wake up, pad into the bathroom; mise-en-scène a student’s sanctuary. In the bathroom, suit up: costume, makeup/mask, deliberately casual—as if any day could become a beach day. Flip on Elvis and dance while pouring milk onto cold cereal. The door opens, and the play begins en force.

Provider Perspectives On Informed Consent In Female Sterilisation Services: Findings From A Facility-Based Study In Chennai, Raja Lakshmi
Reproductive Health
The objective of this paper is to explore the perceptions and experiences of providers with regard to the process of informed consent in the provision of female sterilization services in Chennai, south India. It describes the quality of information provided to clients of sterilization, providers’ attitudes toward clients and the quality of decisionmaking, as well as the quality of the consent-taking process in this setting. In addition, providers’ perceptions of the importance of informed consent are discussed. Findings strongly suggest the need to train and sensitize providers in public as well as private facilities on their ethical responsibilities of ensuring …

Cyberspace is often a battlefield with a wide array of armies posed to challenge one another across the increasing array of rhetoric and technology that has made it such a potent arena for global digital commerce. Perry Barlow's infamous demand that cyberspace be left to its own devices because of its unique unregulated nature may have been answered by Larry Lessig's reply that code may in fact be used to regulate cyberspace, but the reality is that social norming demands, the evanescence of technological controls, and the perceived utility of illicit conduct utilizing the internet make any regulation problematic at …
