Nieustannie wzrasta znaczenie polityk rozwoju o charakterze terytorialnym, w tym dotyczących obszarów wiejskich, w aktywności Unii Europejskiej na przestrzeni ostatnich kilkunastu lat. Modelowy program stymulowania pomysłów przedsiębiorczych na wsi stanowi Inicjatywa Wspólnotowa LEADER, we wdrażaniu której „stare” kraje członkowskie dysponują wieloma cennymi doświadczeniami, często możliwymi do przeszczepienia na grunt polski. Pierwszym, zakrojonym na dużą skalę programem zarządzania rozwojem obszarów wiejskich w Polsce był SAPARD, współfinansowany ze środków unijnych. Non-linear excitation fluorescence microscopy is a high resolution, non-invasive biological imaging technique capable of imaging both in vitro and in vivo at the depths of several hundred microns. Mohammed Arkoun is one of international modern Islamic thinkers that his thought comes into Islamic thinking discourses in Indonesia recently. His Islamic thought was influenced by the modern philosophical concepts such as ‘myths’ of Ricouer, postmodern concepts like ‘discourse’ and ‘episteme’, which were developed by Foucault as well as ‘deconstruction’ of Derrida. If Derrida focused on deconstruction as a final concept, on the other hand Arkoun insisted that ‘deconstruction’ must be followed by ‘reconstruction’ of a discourse. Arkoun’s reconstruction leaves the limitation, the rigidity and deviation from the past. Arkoun proposes two ways: firstly it is ‘ijtihad’ and subsequently it …

Developing countries as well as other member countries of the IMF have been encouraged to open up to foreign capital flows through the liberalization of their capital account transactions. Capital account liberalization is embedded in international standards and codes as best practice necessary for developing countries engaging in inter-governmental and non-governmental international relations. It also represents the systemic removal of administrative and legal controls on international capital transactions.

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol (A/RES/61/106) was adopted on 13 December 2006 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and was opened for signature on 30 March 2007 and entered into force on 3 May 2008. It is the first comprehensive human rights treaty of the 21st century and is the first human rights convention to be open for signature by regional integration organizations.

Twenty crossbred beef steers and twenty crossbred beef heifers were randomly allotted to two treatments to evaluate the effect of supplementation on animal performance in animals grazing cotton plant residues: (1) 10 steers and 10 heifers were allowed to graze ad libitum in an 8 ha cotton field after harvest, and (2) 10 steers and 10 heifers grazed in a similar field but received 1kg day1 of supplement. Water intake and mineral consumption were measured daily. Anomalous branching of the intrahepatic portal veins and a round ligament variation were encountered in a 70-year-old male cadaver, with a positional variation of the liver. The liver was not extending to the left of the xiphoid process. The fissure for the round ligament was not present at the visceral surface, and the ligament was embedded inside the parenchyma. The round ligament was joining with the anterior branch of the right portal vein instead of the left. OBJECTIVE: To report the value of nasal endoscopy as an outpatient procedure in the diagnosis of posterior nasal obstruction. METHODS: Over one year period, from March 2002 to March 2003, we evaluated 130 adult patients that attended the Ear, Nose and Throat Department of Sohag University Hospital in Egypt with persistent nasal obstruction via anterior rhinoscopy and flexible nasopharyngoscopy. We reported the cause and site of obstruction in relation to the choanae. We confirmed the diagnosis by CT scanning, rigid endoscopic examination under general anesthesia, and histopathological analysis of biopsies taken. OBJECTIVE: To assess the awareness, attitude and practice of evidence base medicine (EBM) among Al-Taif Consultant Physicians and to define the perceived barriers for practicing EBM. METHODS: It is a cross-sectional study conducted during December, 2004, at all governmental hospitals in Western region of Saudi Arabia at Al-Taif Governorate. Two hundred and eight self administrated questionnaires had been distributed to all consultant physicians in different specialties who met the inclusions criteria for this study. Ipsilateral Dislocation Of The Shoulder And Elbow Joints With Contralateral Comminuted Humeral Fracture, Servet Kerimoglu, Olcay Turgutoglu, Osman Aynaci, Ahmet U. Turhan

Ipsilateral dislocation of the shoulder and elbow joints is a rare and complex injury. During the last 25 years, only 3 cases have been reported in the literature. We report a 50-year-old woman who suffered ipsilateral elbow and shoulder dislocation with contralateral comminuted humeral fracture. Both shoulder and elbow joints were reduced, but the elbow was dislocated subsequently at follow-up. The reduction in the elbow was stabilized by a Kirschner wire that was removed at 3 weeks, and the elbow was then stable. A U-shaped coaptation splint was applied for the contralateral comminuted humeral fracture. At 6 months, she had …

This project is concerned with the preparation of scyllo-inosarnine hydrochloride 6, a biologically active compound, which bears six successive stereogenic centers. The synthesis of this compound would help elucidate the involvement of inosamines in biological nitrogen fixation. myo-Inositol served as the starting material to synthesize target compound 6. Regioselective protection and deprotection of myo-inositol provided azide 43 as key intermediate. The aim of the research is to increase the effectiveness of relationships of decision makers, both of racial majorities and racioethnic miniorities. This study details the social construction of the ineractive practices of multicultural professionals. Using a qualitative method, the study looks at the experiences of racial majority and racioethnic minority professionals in the technology-service industry.
