Mercado, Albert, Bronx African American History Project
Mercado, Albert, Bronx African American History Project
Oral Histories
When he was young in the Bronx he says it was a lovely area. There was a good mix of groups, but “everyone got along.” After junior high, he attended Art and Design in Manhattan, but he experienced prejudice there Latinos or African-Americans were in the minority there, so he transferred to Manhattan Vocational Tech. He stayed there a year but left because there was a lot of gang activity. He then attended DeWitt Clinton. He lived in the Bronx and the area had become very dilapidated - “it looked like if someone ran through there and just bombed it …

Reengineering Rit Card Transactions: A Study Of Rit Identification Card Transactions, Debra A. Spencer
Reengineering Rit Card Transactions: A Study Of Rit Identification Card Transactions, Debra A. Spencer
Theses
This thesis explores possible ways of reengineering the system for processing student identification card financial transactions at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The current system uses both a manual process and a web-based technology, and requires form completion and manual intervention by the user and the employee processor. Possible improvements explored include elimination or redesign of forms and the introduction of an electronic format. Data for this study was collected at the cashier's office on the RIT campus. The data collection included qualitative survey questions, observation, and quantitative analysis of the answers to the survey questions.

Resurrection From Babel: The Cultural, Political, And Legal Status Of Christian Communities In Lebanon And Syria And Their Prospects For The Future, Alexandra R. Harrington
ExpressO
In the well-known Biblical story, the faithful, attempting to create a place of unity for themselves, set about building the Tower of Babel, only to see the Tower implode due to linguistic differences and power assertions. Thousands of years later, the world is still plagued by sectarian strife and warfare. Indeed, the situation has only become more involved since Babel, as there are now inter-communal and intra-communal conflicts for supremacy and superiority – a notable difference in these conflicts is that the ultimate tool of getting to Heaven is no longer a tower, it is now a state. Within the …
