Trumpeter Swan Survey Of The Rocky Mountain Population, U.S. Breeding Segment Fall 2005, James A. Dubovsky
Trumpeter Swan Survey Of The Rocky Mountain Population, U.S. Breeding Segment Fall 2005, James A. Dubovsky
United States Fish and Wildlife Service: Publications
Observers counted 510 swans (white birds and cygnets) in the U.S. Breeding Segment of the Rocky Mountain Population of trumpeter swans during fall of 2005, the highest count since 1992. The numbers of white birds and cygnets in the tri-state region increased 22% and 4%, respectively, compared to counts in 2004. The number of young produced in Montana was 25% higher than in 2004, whereas numbers of cygnets in Idaho and Wyoming essentially were unchanged. The number of white birds increased compared to 2004 for all three states in which the Tri-state Area Flocks nest. The number of birds at …

A device that uses ultrasonic atomization of a liquid to produce an aerosol of micron-scale droplets is described. This device represents a new approach to producing targets relevant to laser-driven fusion studies, and to rare studies of nonlinear optics in which wavelength-scale targets are irradiated. The device has also made possible tests of fluid dynamics models in a novel phase space. The distribution of droplet sizes produced by the device and the threshold power required for droplet production are shown to follow scaling laws predicted by fluid dynamics.

The Anchor, Volume 119.09: November 9, 2005, Hope College
The Anchor: 2005
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Glenn Korff School of Music: Performances
This is a sample text file to accompany the mp3 file of the above music piece. It is essentially the “liner notes” for the above performance. It would give all the pertinent information: dates, performers, critical assessments, instrumentation, conductor, background history of the composition, stories of the composer’s life, great performance stories, superstitions, persons of note who attended, recording personnel, copyright information, etc., etc.
This is a searchable file; it serves in this case as both the abstract and the main document (text) file.
Readers should be instructed to download the mp3 file just below the main document.

Conseco Finance Servicing Corporation V. Patterson, 2005-Ap-03 (Blkft. Tr. Ct. App., Nov. 9, 2005), Blackfeet Appellate Court
Court Decisions
The lower court found that the defendant breached the contract he entered into with the plaintiff by failing to make monthly payments. The Blackfeet Tribal Appellate Court issued the defendant’s notice of appeal and request for stay of judgment pending appeal. The Blackfeet Tribal Court of Appeals dismissed the appeal filed by the appellant. The appellant made no attempt to contact the Court regarding his appeal since the date of filing of the Notice of Appeal. Per the Blackfeet Law & Order Code reads, “Failure of an appellant to take any step other than the timely filing of a notice …

Allowed Wavevectors Under The Application Of Incommensurate Periodic Boundary Conditions, Timothy B. Boykin, Neerav Kharche, Gerhard Klimeck
Birck and NCN Publications
While the energy bands of solids are often thought of as continuous functions of the wavevector, k, they are in fact discrete functions, due to the periodic boundary conditions applied over a finite number of primitive cells. The traditional approach enforces periodicity over a volume containingNi primitive unit cells along the direction of the primitive lattice vector ai . While this method yields a simple formula for the allowed k, it can be problematic computer programs for lattices such as face-centred cubic (FCC) where the boundary faces of the primitive cell are not orthogonal. The fact that k is discrete …
