Multiple Testing Procedures For Controlling Tail Probability Error Rates, Sandrine Dudoit, Mark J. Van Der Laan, Merrill D. Birkner

The present article discusses and compares multiple testing procedures (MTP) for controlling Type I error rates defined as tail probabilities for the number (gFWER) and proportion (TPPFP) of false positives among the rejected hypotheses. Specifically, we consider the gFWER- and TPPFP-controlling MTPs proposed recently by Lehmann & Romano (2004) and in a series of four articles by Dudoit et al. (2004), van der Laan et al. (2004b,a), and Pollard & van der Laan (2004). A Review Of General Education Teachers' Perceptions Of Classroom And Instructional Accommodations For Students With Disabilities, Jennifer Askue-Collins

The primary purpose of this study was to find out whether general education teachers believe that accommodations for students with special needs help those students succeed. Secondarily, this study seeks to find whether general educators find accommodations to be practical (feasible for general classroom use and fair to students without disabilities) in promoting success for all students. This review will discuss special education laws, service models for special education, and how accommodations fit into these parameters. The researcher created an online survey for K-5 general educators in Virginia's Region 8 to complete. From the responses it was found that this …

Validation Of Energygauge® Usa Using The Hers Bestest, Florida Solar Energy Center, Philip W. Fairey

This report presents results from the testing and validation of the EnergyGauge USA home energy rating software conducted using the HERS BESTEST procedures. The results show that EnergyGauge USA is an excellent and verifiable simulation program that is capable of meeting all national requirements for home energy rating software tools.
