ผู้หญิงกับการสร้างสรรค์ละครร่วมสมัยในเอเชีย, พรรัตน์ ดำรุง

บทความวิจัยนี้ต้องการศึกษาว่าความเป็น "ผู้หญิง" ของ ผู้กำกับการแสดงละครเวทีมีส่วนสำคัญหรือไม่อย่างไรในการ กำหนดเรื่องราวและกลวิธีในการกำกับการแสดงละครเพื่อสื่อสาระ กับผู้ชมของตน ผู้วิจัยรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการชมละคร 20 เรื่องใน เทศกาล ละครนานาชาติ ที่กำกับโดยผู้กำกับการแสดงหญิงจากเอเชีย 6 ชาติ จากการวิเคราะห์สาระของละคร พบว่าการเป็น "ผู้หญิง" ของผู้กำกับการแสดงนั้นทั้งมีและไม่มีความสำคัญในการพัฒนา และสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน เพราะความเป็นผู้หญิงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ ภูมิหลังของผู้กำกับการแสดง การเลือกเรื่องและสาระที่นําเสนอนั้น สะท้อนความคิดที่ผู้กำกับการแสดงให้ความสนใจ อันได้แก่ตัวตน และคุณค่าของผู้หญิงในสังคม กฎเกณฑ์ที่สังคมใช้บังคับให้ผู้หญิง ปฏิบัติ แม้ว่าผลงานละครที่ผู้กำกับการแสดงหญิงนำเสนอนั้นมีความเฉพาะในสาระและตัวละครที่เป็นผู้หญิง แต่ประเด็นที่ นำเสนอนั้นมีความเป็นสากล ซึ่งผู้กำกับการแสดงไม่ว่าเพศใดควร ให้ความสำคัญเช่นกัน ส่วนการนำเสนอผลงานแก่ผู้ชมนั้น สะท้อนบริบทของสังคมและมีความหลากหลาย มีการค้นคว้าทดลอง รูปแบบการนําเสนอที่จะเชื่อมโลกของศิลปะแบบดั้งเดิมกับชีวิตปัจจุบัน

บทความนี้ให้ภาพประวัติศาสตร์เกี่ยวกับสตรีไทย โดย สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงสถานภาพของสตรีไทยในด้านต่างๆ คือ ด้านชีววิทยา ความสัมพันธ์กับครอบครัว เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และการเมือง บทวิเคราะห์ นี้ใช้หลักฐานสำคัญ 2 อย่าง คือ 1. ภาษิตโบราณของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไตหรือไทยในเวียดนาม ภาคตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือ ภาษิตไตหรือไทยดังกล่าวผู้เขียนอ่านจาก ภาษาเวียดนาม 2. กฎหมายตราสามดวง กฎหมายประเพณีของไทยนี้มี มาตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยาหรือก่อนหน้าขึ้นไป หลักฐานชิ้นแรกชี้ถึงโครงสร้างในอดีตที่ต่อเนื่องของสังคม เกษตรโบราณไทยโดยสังคมนี้ได้สืบทอดแนวคิดเรื่องความเสมอภาค ระหว่างชายหญิงจากพื้นฐานสังคมหมู่บ้านไทย แต่ในขณะเดียวกัน สังคมก็แสดงพัฒนาการอำนาจปิตาธิปไตยอย่างเห็นได้ชัดแล้ว หลักฐานชิ้นที่สองทำให้เห็นสองรูปแบบของกฎเกณฑ์และกฎหมายของรัฐ ซึ่งได้ลดทอนสถานภาพและบทบาทของสตรีไทยลงไปเรื่อยๆ กฎหมายนี้แท้ที่จริงได้เปิดเผยให้เห็นถึงสิทธิและผลประโยชน์ของผู้ชายอันมีมากกว่าผู้หญิงอย่างมาก นอกจากนี้ กฎหมายตราสามดวงได้บอกให้เรารู้ถึงปัญหาที่ รุนแรงบางอย่างในสังคมประเพณีไทย ดังนี้ 1. ความยากลำบากต่างๆ ของผู้หญิง โดยเฉพาะการ ทำงานหนักแทบทุกอย่างในครัวเรือน และการเอารัดเอาเปรียบ ต่าง ๆ ตามปกติของผู้ชาย 2. สิ่งที่เห็นชัดคือมีอาชญากรรมและการคุกคามทางเพศ การทะเลาะเบาะแว้งต่างๆ ภายในครอบครัว ปัญหาข้างต้นยังซ่อน ปัญหาสืบเนื่องไปถึงการแตกสลายของครอบครัวด้วย 3. ผู้หญิงไทยในสังคมประเพณีไร้ศักดิ์ศรีของตนเอง ไร้ อิสรภาพ และดูจะขาดความสุขที่แท้จริง

บทความเรื่องนี้ศึกษาวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรมรักร่วมเพศชาย ในสังคมไทยว่ามีลักษณะเป็นเช่นไร จากการศึกษาพบว่าในสมัยจารีต แม้ว่าสังคมจะมีอคติต่อพฤติกรรมรักร่วมเพศในลักษณะที่ "เป็นความแปลกแยก" มิใช่ "หญิง" หรือ "ชาย" แต่ก็ไม่ปรากฏ ความคิดว่าพฤติกรรมรักร่วมเพศเป็นอันตรายต่อสังคมและไม่มีบทลงโทษอย่างรุนแรงดังเช่นในสังคมตะวันตก หลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง บริบททางด้านเศรษฐกิจและสังคมได้เปลี่ยนไป กล่าวคือการรับวัฒนธรรมอเมริกันทำให้มีการรับความรู้ทางการแพทย์แบบตะวันตกที่มองว่า พฤติกรรมรักร่วมเพศเป็นโรคจิต ที่สามารถบำบัดรักษาให้หายได้

This study examined the perceptions, attitudes, and practices of senior student affairs administrators and academic affairs administrators regarding collaborative work between their respective divisions. Through a survey adapted for this study, senior administrators at liberal arts institutions were asked to report their perceptions and opinions on the relationship between student affairs and academic affairs at their institution. They were also asked their perceptions of the need for collaborative relationships, the benefits of partnerships, occurrences of collaboration, and the perceived barriers to collaboration at their institutions. Some researchers have investigated the use of resiliency-building programs to prevent childhood depression in at risk populations (Comer, 1985; Gladstone & Beardslee, 2000; Seligman, 1995). The following study investigates the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment Program (DECA). The DECA Program is designed to build resiliency in preschool children by increasing factors that have been found to be related to resiliency: initiative, self-control, and attachment. The study evaluated the short-term effectiveness of the DECA Program. Two Head Start Centers participated in the study. Pretest DECA rating scales were completed by the classroom teachers. This applied dissertation focused on a schoolwide program of reading interventions that was implemented to increase the reading ability of elementary school students at Edward T. Davis Elementary School in Montgomery, Alabama. These interventions included (a) teacher training in research based reading instruction; (b) the implementation of Direct Instruction (Englemann, 1996); (c) the implementation of additional reading time, (d) a student reward program, and (e) a home-school literacy connection.

The problem addressed in the applied dissertation was that high school teenagers enrolled in prevention programs are not decreasing at-risk behaviors. This problem can be answered by focusing on distinct characteristics of teenagers who are enrolled in the after-school mental health and substance abuse prevention program. The at-risk behaviors demonstrated by the teenagers in the prevention program included substance abuse, crime, violence, poor academics, truancy, mental health issues, inappropriate sexual behavior, and teenage pregnancy.

The decision in Bush v. Gore and particularly Chief Justice Rehnquist's concurring opinion were widely criticized for their unwarranted intrusion upon the "authoritative" status of the Florida Supreme Court in determining the meaning of Florida election law. This Article rejects the merits of that criticism. The purpose of this study was to find out from educators who held the requisite credentials to be a secondary principal, but were not serving in that position, why fewer licensed educators are choosing to apply for secondary principal positions. This investigation was initiated because a shortage of qualified secondary principals in the state of Iowa had been indicated.

The setting for this applied dissertation is Springville High School. Twenty percent of the ninth grade students at this school scored below the 30th percentile on norm referenced Stanford Achievement Test 9 in reading comprehension. The test results reflect the lack of reading instruction at the secondary level. The implementation period was for two 18-week periods, which used reading strategies from the researched-based Alabama Reading Initiative Program. This applied dissertation was to raise the reading achievement of third grade students in a diverse city school with a student population of 618. Analysis of archival data for the past three years indicated that reading comprehension scores on the state test (MSPAP) and local criterion-referenced tests have remained unchanged with a relatively flat trend. Approximately 50% of all students had reached a satisfactory level as opposed to the 70% state expectation. This applied dissertation implemented professional development activities with kindergarten teachers to improve teachers’ knowledge of instruction and assessment of early literacy. An emphasis was placed on using diagnostic testing to gather data on students' performance and then to provide differentiated instruction. The program was implemented in a rural elementary school with a student population of approximately 335. Sixty percent of the kindergarten students were identified as at risk in the area of reading. This applied dissertation produced results at one elementary school that reduced the number of at-risk kindergarten students in the area of literacy.

This applied dissertation describes the attendance problems of students at Wellborn High School. Wellborn High School is 1 of 7 high schools in the Calhoun County School District. Located in a community with a high poverty rate and limited employment opportunities, the school has the highest percentage of truancy of 7th-, 8th-, and 9th-grade students in the district. Many parents of this community do not value education; therefore, they are indifferent to enforcing the attendance policy of the school district.

The purpose of this applied dissertation was to evaluate the extent to which Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) programs in New England addressed critical thinking skills in their curricula. Norm values were measured for two standardized measures of critical thinking and the extent to which course materials promoted critical thinking was determined using Bloom’s Taxonomy. Teaching strategies were compiled for use by PTA faculty to foster the development of critical thinking skills.

"Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA)-derived data was used to develop parsimonious model(s) for fuel consumption on a Boeing 757 airplane using regression analysis. Using the model(s), it should be possible to identify outliers (specific flights) with respect to fuel consumption, which will enable the air carrier to investigate the cause of excessive fuel consumption and remedy the problem A major air carrier provided the database used for the study. Fuel flow was predicted by calibrated airspeed, gross weight, and n2 (ENG[1 or 2]n2). The models containing these three variables explained approximately 85% of the variation in fuel flow.
