Characterization Of Large Area Cadmium Telluride Films And Solar Cells Deposited On Moving Substrates By Close Spaced Sublimation, Vishwanath Kumar
Characterization Of Large Area Cadmium Telluride Films And Solar Cells Deposited On Moving Substrates By Close Spaced Sublimation, Vishwanath Kumar
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
With CdTe based photovoltaics developed by close spaced sublimation reaching efficiencies of over 16%, commercialization of this technology draws serious attention. Today large area industrial modules have not been able to produce the same performance of their laboratory counterparts. This work provides a means for understanding the various technical challenges in developing an effective deposition technology for large area processing.
The submodule process investigated provides a model for continuous and sequential processing of subsequent films. The system has a unique design and constructed with the provision for a moving transport module for the substrate transport. The process was developed to …
Characterization Of Cadmium Zinc Telluride Solar Cells, Gowri Sivaraman
Characterization Of Cadmium Zinc Telluride Solar Cells, Gowri Sivaraman
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Currently thin film solar cells have efficiencies in the range of 16-18%. Higher efficiencies of 20% or more can be achieved by two junction solar cells in which two p-n junctions are connected in series one on top of the other in a tandem structure. The ideal bandgaps for optimum efficiency in a tandem structure are about 1eV for the top cell and 1.7 eV for the bottom cell. Copper Indium Gallium di-Selenide (CIGS) with a bandgap of 1 eV is a suitable candidate for the bottom cell and Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) with a tunable bandgap of 1.44-2.26 eV …

Mean Field Theory Of Collective Transport With Phase Slips, Alan Middleton, Karl Saunders, J. M. Schwarz, M. Cristina Marchetti
Mean Field Theory Of Collective Transport With Phase Slips, Alan Middleton, Karl Saunders, J. M. Schwarz, M. Cristina Marchetti
Physics - All Scholarship
The driven transport of plastic systems in various disordered backgrounds is studied within mean field theory. Plasticity is modeled using non-convex interparticle potentials that allow for phase slips. This theory most naturally describes sliding charge density waves; other applications include flow of colloidal particles or driven magnetic flux vortices in disordered backgrounds. The phase diagrams exhibit generic phases and phase boundaries, though the shapes of the phase boundaries depend on the shape of the disorder potential. The phases are distinguished by their velocity and coherence: the moving phase generically has finite coherence, while pinned states can be coherent or incoherent. …

Details of this accident have been withheld by the demining NGO that employed the Victim. A spreadsheet including the Victim’s name and very brief details of the accident was made available in 2007. Some details can be inferred from the information released. For example, the limited injury implies that the victim’s PPE was being worn in the correct manner.

School Factors Related To The Social And Behavioral Success Of Children And Adolescents With Tuberous Sclerosis: Special Education Placement, Services, And Parental Involvement, Kathleen Walker Carlisle
School Factors Related To The Social And Behavioral Success Of Children And Adolescents With Tuberous Sclerosis: Special Education Placement, Services, And Parental Involvement, Kathleen Walker Carlisle
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
The researcher examined the relationships between tuberous sclerosis, a multi-system genetic disorder, and school functioning through the use of a parent questionnaire and behavior rating scale. Information was gathered on the typical school experiences of children with tuberous sclerosis, including educational placement and services, behavioral functioning, parent involvement, and parent satisfaction. The results indicated that the majority of students with tuberous sclerosis are in special education and receiving related services. Three-quarters received one or more related services through the public school, and 30% received private related services paid for by their parents. Parent involvement was positively correlated with parent satisfaction, …
An Assessment Of Paired Similarities And Card Sorting, Theodore James Dwyer
An Assessment Of Paired Similarities And Card Sorting, Theodore James Dwyer
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Alcohol expectancies have been shown to be predictive of risk for alcohol problems. Experimental research studies have challenged participants' expectancies with the end result demonstrating a mediational effect on participant drinking. Cognitive research using priming and word recognition tasks have led to the theory that expectancies operate in an associative network. Using dissimilarities information this network has been mapped using multidimensional scaling. The current techniques for collecting dissimilarities information directly in alcohol expectancy research has been limited to the use of the paired comparisons tasks. In order to investigate the utility of a different similarities task a comparison was made …
A Mathematical Model For Colloidal Aggregation, Colleen S. O'Brien
A Mathematical Model For Colloidal Aggregation, Colleen S. O'Brien
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
The characterization of fine particles is an area of immense significance to many industrial endeavors. It has been estimated that 70% of all industrial processes deal with fine particles at some point in the process. A natural phenomenon occurring in these processes is colloidal aggregation. This study examines aggregation in colloidal systems in order to characterize, examine, and control this occurrence in industrial processes. The study of particle aggregation has been broken into many different areas, such as collision mechanisms, interaction energy etc, but a complete model that integrates these different aspects has never been fully realized. A new model …
Development And Testing Of A Haptic Interface To Assist And Improve The Manipulation Functions In Virtual Environments For Persons With Disabilities, Rohit Tammana
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Robotics in rehabilitation provides considerable opportunities to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. Computerized and Virtual Environment (VE) training systems for persons with disabilities, many of which utilize the haptic feedback, have gained increasing acceptance in the recent years. Our methodology here is based on creating virtual environments connected to a haptic interface as an input device. This robotic setup introduces the advantages of the haptic rendering features in the environment and also provides tactile feedback to the patients.
This thesis aims to demonstrate the efficacy of assistance function algorithms in rehabilitation robotics in virtual environments. Assist …

Wto Plus: Creating Liberal Investment Through Regulating Tax Incentives, Jeremiah Johnson
Wto Plus: Creating Liberal Investment Through Regulating Tax Incentives, Jeremiah Johnson
ExpressO
The World Trade Organization’s (WTO) narrow reading of the Agreement on Trade Related Investment Measures (TRIMs) should be expanded to prohibit specific and targeted tax incentives aimed at attracting foreign investment. These tax incentives restrict investment and trade liberalization. This paper proposes that trade and investment are intrinsically linked, and as such, the WTO is the proper forum to regulate investment measures. This paper argues the case against specific foreign investment attracting tax incentives. These incentives do little to actually attract investment, and are harmful to development. Individual tax incentives also limit the collective global benefits of investment. This paper …
Who Holds The Real Veto: Use Of Force And The Trusteeship Analogy, Paul Tan
Who Holds The Real Veto: Use Of Force And The Trusteeship Analogy, Paul Tan
ExpressO
It is a well-known fact that except when a country is defending herself from an armed attack, all recourse to force must be authorized by the Security Council. In early 2003, when President Bush became frustrated at the reluctance of the UN Security Council to authorize the use of force against Iraq for stalling on the weapons inspections regime, he told the world in no uncertain terms that America would attack Iraq alone if necessary. What I want to explore in this article is the question of whether countries retain a residual right to act outside of such authorization on …
