A Study Of Adult Patron Library Use And Satisfaction With The Federal Street Branch Of The Camden City Free Public Library, Aaron L. Brown

Theses and Dissertations

The purpose of this study was to determine how adult patrons were using the Federal Street branch of the Camden City Free Public Library. Additionally, the study measured patron satisfaction with the current level of service that the library was providing. One hundred and three responses were collected over an eight week period. Public School Counselors' Attitudes To Suicide/Suicide Intervention, Robert S. Felloney May 2003

Public School Counselors' Attitudes To Suicide/Suicide Intervention, Robert S. Felloney

Theses and Dissertations

Most of the research on suicide/suicide intervention has focused upon client characteristics and attitudes. Little research, especially in the school setting, has been done on counselor characteristics and attitudes as key variables in these situations. This study was done, at least partially, to help overcome the lack of research in this critical area. This study involved fifteen school counselors (school psychologists and school social workers) who were selected nonrandomly. Based upon interviews, a key finding was that school counselors who prioritize the role of suicide intervention and were more comfortable in doing this, perceived themselves as being more successful in …

Legal News And Periodicals, Wendy E. Moore May 2003

Legal News And Periodicals, Wendy E. Moore

Presentations

There are a growing number of legal periodicals and news sources that are freely available via the Internet, but sometimes tracking down a specific topic or article can be a lot of work. For example, what if you are interested in following news on a certain legal topic or identifying some current articles published in a certain legal field, such as immigration? No matter how good a searcher you are, it is nearly impossible to put "recent Immigration Law News" into Google and get back a concise, usable list of articles. Instead, the best searching method to follow is making …

The Limits Of Property Reparations, Gregory S. Alexander May 2003

The Limits Of Property Reparations, Gregory S. Alexander

Cornell Law Faculty Publications

Human history is replete with examples of unjustified expropriations of property by conquering states and other transitory regimes. Only in modern times, however, have nations attempted systematically to remedy historical injustices by providing reparations to the dispossessed owners or their successors. From the aboriginal peoples of the Antipodes to the Native Americans of Canada and the U.S. to the European victims of the German and Soviet communism, groups of people who were stripped of their land and possessions by fraud or force are demanding, and in many cases getting, reparations for these injustices. The thesis of this paper is that …
