Treatment Of Chicken Caecal Coccidiosis With Sulfamonomethoxine In A Trial Conducted In A Battery House, Nopadon Pirarat, Autthapon Suntharathonpiphut, Kridtasak Sang-Gassanee, Anuchittada Sirisriro, Komkrich Teankum, Manop Muangyai

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

The treatment of chicken caecal coccidiosis with sulfamonomethoxine, at a concentration of 0.05 % in drinking water for 3 days, was performed on different days post oocyst inoculation.162 chickens were divided into 6 groups, 3 cages per group with 9 chicken each group. Chickens in groups 1-5 obtained 7x104 oocysts of Eimeria tenella, via a stomach tube. Chickens in group 1, 2 and 3 were treated on days 1-3, 2-4 and 3-5 post inoculation respectively. Group 4, a control group was infected but unmedicated. Group 5 was uninfected and unmedicated and group 6 was studied for drug toxicity observation. The …

Relationship Between Self-Perception Of Individuals With Learning Disabilities And Coping Strategies, Nicholas Frantz Pontius

Theses & Honors Papers

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between one's understanding of his/her own learning disability (LO) and coping strategies he/she employs to mitigate the effect of the disability. The subjects (N = 120) of this study were students with learning disabilities who attended and graduated from a private school in Richmond, Virginia between 1976 and 1997. A self­-developed questionnaire with two parts was used to collect data for this study. The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. This research studies how child abuse has become so pervasive in South Africa and evaluates a project that provides training for professionals to learn the necessary skills to build an effective social welfare system, potentially create national procedures for serving abused children and potentially change child abuse laws. Efforts have been made to build awareness on the rights of children in South Africa. Children, before and after the apartheid regime, have been affected by the breakdown of families and oppressive laws in a patriarchal society.
