Teratogen Update: Reproductive Risks Of Leflunomide (Arava); A Pyrimidine Synthesis Inhibitor: Counseling Women Taking Leflunomide Before Or During Pregnancy And Men Taking Leflunomide Who Are Contemplating Fathering A Child, Robert L. Brent
The Selected Works of Robert Brent
Arava™ (leflunomide) is a pyrimidine synthesis inhibitor used in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The chemical name for leflunomide is N- (4’-trifluoromethylphenyl)-5-methylisoxazole-4-carboxamide. Because the drug has been successful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), it is being widely prescribed. In spite of the clear warning that the drug should not be prescribed for pregnant women, approximately 30 women have become pregnant while taking leflunomide as of December 1999. This commentary was prepared to aid teratology counselors and genetic counselors that might be contacted by physicians or patients about the risk of leflunomide exposure during pregnancy. Annual Idaho Public Policy Surveys
The Social Science Research Center (SSRC) at Boise State University outsourced the data collection component of this telephone-based public policy survey of Idahoans, to the Social and Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC) at Washington State University. The SSRC supervised the work of the SESRC at WSU, which utilized a random-digit-dialing methodology in conducting this survey. There were 706 responses to the survey, which were obtained from an adjusted field sample of 1,393 prospective respondents. The adjusted response rate for the 12th Annual Idaho Public Policy Survey is 51%. However, a better indicator of the representative nature of responses is found …

A Demographic Approach To Race And Ethnicity In Metropolitan And Non-Metropolitan Regions Of Arkansas, 1990 And 1999, Todd W. Hodgson, Frank L. Farmer, Wayne P. Miller, Donald D. Voth
AAES Research Reports and Research Bulletins
This manuscript provides an empirical portrait of emergent trends in the growth, distribution, and racial and ethnic composition of Arkansas’ resident population. Particular attention is given to variation in the racial and ethnic composition of the estimated population among different regions of the state. During the 1990’s, racial and ethnic diversity increased statewide due in large part to Hispanic population growth in all regions. Black population growth was greatest in central Arkansas while Asian and Native American population growth increased most rapidly in the northwest metropolitan regions of the state. Overall, both metropolitan and non-metropolitan Arkansas communities have a more …

A Strategic Marketing Analysis Of The Western Australian Olive Industry, Francis D'Emden
A Strategic Marketing Analysis Of The Western Australian Olive Industry, Francis D'Emden
Horticulture published reports
A recent survey of Western Australian olive growers has revealed the rapid expansion of the State's Olive Industry, with at least 1.7 million olive trees to be planted in the next two to four years in Western Australia. NSW and SA are currently the dominant producers with around 64% of olive trees planted in those States.
This analysis concentrates on the olive oil market, as most groves have been planted to varieties suited to olive oil production. Approximately 4% of trees are table varieties, most of which have been planted amongst groves of predominantly oil or dual-purpose varieties.
