State's Motion To Exclude Testimony Of John Wilson, A. Steven Dever, William D. Mason, Kathleen A. Martin
State's Motion To Exclude Testimony Of John Wilson, A. Steven Dever, William D. Mason, Kathleen A. Martin
1995-2002 Court Filings
The State filed this motion to exclude the testimony of psychologist Dr. John Wilson as Plaintiff’s expert rebuttal witness because the State argues that Dr. Wilson’s testimony does not properly rebut evidence presented by the State. The State avers that “a rebuttal witness can only provide testimony in response to new matters introduced by a party opponent” and not to bolster a party’s case in chief. The State claims that Dr. Wilson’s testimony, at least in part, serves the aforementioned impermissible purpose e.g. bolstering the notion that Dr. Sheppard’s inability to recall events from the day his wife was murdered. …

UniverCity News, 1998-2001
VCU Today, the University’s first official administrative organ, began as a somewhat irregular monthly publication but moved to a bi-weekly newspaper format in the 1980s. The newspaper changed its name to VCU Voice in 1988 and ten years later it appeared under the title UniverCity News. As it neared the end of its run as a physical newspaper, the publication became simply VCU News. These four publications were essentially the same periodical published under different titles by the Office of University Relations. VCU News appeared online for the first time in 2002.

Development And Construct Validity Of Scores On The Community Service Attitudes Scale, Ann Harris Shiarella, Anne M. Mccarthy, Mary L. Tucker
Development And Construct Validity Of Scores On The Community Service Attitudes Scale, Ann Harris Shiarella, Anne M. Mccarthy, Mary L. Tucker
Evaluation/Reflection
This study reports the multistage development of the Community Service Attitudes Scale (CSAS), an instrument for measuring college students' attitudes about community service. The CSAS was developed based on Schwartz's helping behavior model. Scores on the scales of the CSAS yielded strong reliability evidence (coefficient alphas ranging from .72 to .93). Principal components analysis yielded results consistent with the Schwartz model. In addition, the CSAS scale scores were positively correlated with gender, college major, community service experience, and intentions to engage in community service. The CSAS will be useful to researchers for conducting further research on the effects of service …

This conclusion is suggested as an answer to the question: What caused the shift in Faith and Order's study and discussion of intercommunion from one that seeks agreement among doctrinal differences and difficulties to a pluralistic approach which embraces all perspectives as complimentary and mutually affirming? The significance of the hermeneutical shift is this: the seeming theological convergence on intercommunion has come at …
