This research attempts to study the usage of computerised accounting system, with the focus on accounting software usage, in small and medium companies. This research covers 4 areas, • which are the basis of requirements and selection, maintaining and impact of the system on the performance of small and medium companies. Salmonella typhi S8 is resistant to ampicillin (Ac), chloramphenicol (Cm), cotrimoxazole (Ctm), streptomycin (Sm), and tetracycline (Tc). The Ac, Cm, Ctm. and Sm resistance traits have been shown to be mediated by a multiple antibiotic resistance transposon located on a large conjugative plasmid. Transposition of the transposon encoding Ac^R (ampicillin resistance), Cm^R Ctm^R and Sm^R designated TnX8, was done by Wong (1999) to a recipient replicon, plasmid pUB307. The Ac^R Cm^R, Ctm^R and Sm^R genes were subcloned into plasmid pKan by digesting the recombinant plasmid, des ignated pCL8 (pUB307::TnX8), with San. This study examines language maintenance and shift among the Portuguese Eurasians living in the Portuguese Settlement in Malacca. Firstly, this study focuses on the use of Kristang in seven domains: work/school, transaction, family, neighbourhood, friendship, entertainment and prayer. Secondly, it investigates the attitude of the subjects towards Kristang, English end Malay. The instrument used in conducting this study is a forty-two item questionnaire administered on sixty-four respondents based on the variables of age, gender and socioeconomic status. Enalapril and its metabolite Enalaprilat were determined by gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC - MS) and high - performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). For HPLC, the detection limit of enalapril and enalaprilat was 10n g/ml in methanol, whereas for the GC - MS, the detection limit was 6.25ng/ml in plasma. A preliminary work involving method development for normal stationary phase (silica) pennits the high-performance liquid chromatographic separation or aliphatic and polyaromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) classes. The Soxhlet extraction method was applied on the coal rock samples and normal phase (silica) short column clean-up separation from highly polymeric material in the coal extract. Method developed on analytical and preparative normal phase silica HPLC columns were to fractionate coal rock extracts, isocratic elution of hexane: ethyl acetate (95 :5, V:V) was found to be quite a good mobile phase.
