The Rise And Fall Of One's Heart And Soul, David Prusinski May 2000

The Rise And Fall Of One's Heart And Soul, David Prusinski

Theses

The purpose of this thesis is to interpret internal poetic feelings as visual images. The poetic visual impact is achieved through the manipulation of composition using male figures, symbols, color, space and scale in painting. The canvases are executed in the size, five feet by seven feet. These narrative paintings are created with oil paints. It is my hope that by producing such emotive visual images and their symbolism, viewers will reach the point where they can relate to the rise and fall of my heart and soul.

The Rotter's Internal-External scale was administered to all the subjects during History class. These scores were then separately correlated with academic class level and gender. The statistical analysis found …

Interpreting Wit, Annmarie Giunta May 2000

Interpreting Wit, Annmarie Giunta

Theses

Graphic design is everywhere and everyday just about everyone interacts with it on some level. Since some graphic design has evolved into quick "on-the-go" design, the elements used to create a message are being ineffectively used. When designing with the graphic design elements, for the most part, there is still a majority that does not understand the reasoning or meaning in the placement of the elements. The purpose of this thesis is to teach graphic design elements to those who do not understand graphic design. A teaching tool has developed with the evolution of this thesis; this tool is wit. …
