Contributions to Books

Published as Chapter 10 in Clinical Assessment of Dangerousness: Empirical Contributions, Georges-Franck Pinard & Linda Pagani, eds.

As a boy, L. assaulted a hitchhiker and then urinated on him. As an adult, the 200-pound, alcohol and drug abuser routinely carried a pistol, stabbed and shot at his father, and terrorized his neighbors. For years, L. beat his wife. When she finally left him, he convinced a court to give him custody of their four children.

For the next four years, L. kept the children in an isolated trailer with no electricity, no phone, and no running water, allowing them out …

Quantitative Statistical Analysis For Problem Solving And Decision Making Project, Anthony Baker

School of Business Faculty Publications

A quantitative statistical analysis written as a Masters Thesis in Problem Solving for the Johnson and Wales University MBA Program.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) contends that increased regulation is required to save dwindling American Lobster stocks (Homarus Americanus) in the North Atlantic Region. A Descriptive Study Of School-Based Intervention Teams In New York State, Sean Croft

Theses

This study examined the current practices of school-based intervention teams (SBIT) in New York State. SBIT are designed to provide immediate assistance to students and teachers, to enhance the ability of teachers to serve difficult-to-teach students within regular education classrooms, and to reduce the number of inappropriate referrals to special education. SBIT members favor teacher intuition and classroom performance over data-based progress monitoring in deterrnining the effectiveness of interventions. The lack of personnel to perform …
