Presidents and CEOs play a critical role in leading their organizations through planned transformational change (PTC) and generally, do not do it very well. This may, in part, be a result of leaders not closely examining and challenging their thinking about PTC and their role in leading it. Leaders' mental models determine what and how they think about their organizations, employees, transformational change and what their leadership means and how their mental models determine their actions and behaviors in planning and implementing PTC. By examining and challenging their mental models, leaders may gain insights into alternative ways of leading and …

Formazan and 3-nitroformazan have been investigated at abinitio level (MP2/6-31G** and B3LYP/6-31G**) in all their possible conformations, for studying the various possibilities of intramolecular hydrogen bonding formation. The trans-syn-s-cis (TSSC), known also asyellowform, has been found to be the most stable conformer (at least in the gas phase) in both compounds. This particular structure is strongly stabilized by a N–H···N hydrogen bridge, which gives rise to a hexatomic chelate ring, with the possibility of a proton transfer process.This closely resembles that of malondialdehyde, previously studied, in the evolution of the …

Technological progress has resulted in increased specialization within academic disciplines and their concurrent separation from each other. Extending lasing action into the extreme ultraviolet and soft x-ray regions of the electromagnetic spectrum has been a natural progression in the continuing development of short wavelength radiation sources. However fundamental difficulties with the media used to produce short wavelength lasers has in general hindered the widespread development and use of such lasers in applications. Up to now all EUV and soft x-ray lasers have operated with plasmas as the gain medium to support lasing. This is a general requirement imposed by 1) the characteristics of short wavelength radiation as it originates from highly energetic atomic transitions and 2) the …

Parent Childrearing Beliefs And Child Externalizing Behaviors In Families Of Adhd And Odd Children, June E. Hoefling

Retrospective Theses and Dissertations

This study investigated the relationship between the perceived externalizing behaviors of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and the maladaptive childrearing beliefs of their parents. The study used archival survey data provided by Intervention Services, Inc., a community mental health center. Data from 338 families with a child diagnosed with ADHD or ODD were analyzed. The study used the Conners' Parent Behavior Rating Scale short version to measure the level of conduct problems, impulsivity, and hyperactivity of the children as perceived by the parents. This thesis is concerned with the philosophy and the strategies related to the digital implementations of artificial neural networks ANN.
