In addressing the issue of leadership in congregations which are increasingly influenced by the emergence of cultural postmodernism, I write not as one who is engaged in leadership or trained in the fields of organization and management, but as a theologian reflecting on the spirituality of contemporary religious. But part of my preparation for these reflections involved talking with a number of religious in leadership positions, asking them what were the major challenges they faced as leaders.

Rhyparochromus Saturnius (Rossi) (Heteroptera: Lygaeoidea: Rhyparochromidae), A Palearctic Seed Bug Newly Discovered In North America, Thomas J. Henry, David Adamski

The Palearctic rhyparochromid Rhyparochromus saturnius (Rossi) [Lygaeoidea] is reported for the first time in North America based on collections from 17 counties in California. Literature pertaining to this adventive species is reviewed, notes on its habits are given, and descriptions and photographs of the adult and fifth-instar nymph are provided to help distinguish it from other North American Rhyparochromidae. It is speculated that R. saturnius was introduced in international commerceoriginating from the Mediterranean Region, most likely Italy or nearby countries.

The 1991/92 and 1992/93 seasons produced 12,200 and 12,300 tonnes of rock lobsters, taken by 12.8 and 11.8 million pot lifts respectively.

This report covering these two seasons is the latest in a series of reports covering The Western Rock Lobster Fishery, which is Western Australia's largest and most valuable fishery.

The climate of the Challis Resource Area is influenced primarily by maritime air carried eastward on prevailing westerly winds. General climatic characteristics are abundant sunshine, low humidity, and high evaporation. The major precipitation source, particularly for winter storms, is the Northern Pacific Ocean. In the summer, however, most of the thunderstorm activity is caused by moisture-laden air originating from the south, off the Pacific coast of Mexico.

This Final Environment Impact Statement (FEIS) assesses the environmental consequences of a federal decision to offer two federal coal tracts in southeastern Campbell County, Wyoming for lease at separate, competitive, sealed bid sales, subject to standard and special lease stipulations. The Powder River Lease By Application (LBA) Tract as applied for by Powder River Coal Company includes approximately 4,020 acres containing approximately 515 million tons of federal coal. Wade, exploring the ways in which the Justice shaped and was in turn shaped by the abortion conflict. After describing Roe, she sets forth and responds to a wide range of criticisms of the decision. She then turns her attention to several other abortion and privacy cases, drawing some general insights into Justice Blackmun's jurisprudence. Prohibits trapping mammals classified as fur-bearing or nongame with specified traps for recreation or commerce in fur. Prohibits commerce in raw fur of such mammals trapped with specified traps in California. Prohibits use of steel-jawed leghold traps on wildlife mammals and dogs and cats except for padded steel-jawed traps used by government officials where it is the only way to protect human health and safety. We propose the total synthesis of a conformationally constrained organophosphorus analog of acetylcholine (5, Scheme 5). This compound will contain two crural centers, one being the phosphorus atom and the other being the pyrrolidine ring carbon beta to the phosphorus atom. The chiral beta carbon is conformationally constrained because it is part of the pyrrolidine ring. Studies with such a compound should allow us to make substantial progress towards the clarification of the stereospecificity of AChE inhibition by OP compounds and eventually help us understand more about the structure of the AChE active site. This study investigated the characteristics of student judicial offenders. The sample of 1,179 college students who were found guilty of violating rules and standards at a Midwestern university over a ten year period, 1985–1994. Nineteen demographic characteristics were examined. These variables were: alcohol use, maternalEducation and occupation, paternalEducation and occupation, a measure of socio-economic status, hometown size, affiliation in a Greek letter organization, major, semester and cumulative grade point average, class standing, ethnicity, gender, residence, and verbal, math and total SAT scores. The intent of this study was to investigate the relationship between attitudinal and motivational variables and successful English as a second language (ESL) learning among ESL international students in the State of Indiana. To carry out this intent, the students' achievement on the TOEFL test, which was used to measure the participants' attained language proficiency, was related to anomie, integrative motivation, instrumental motivation, willingness to communicate with people from other cultures, and willingness to spend time and to learn English. The University of Rhode Island campus has over 140 species and cultivars of deciduous and evergreen trees. URI occupies the site of a barren, rocky pasture that was a part of the Oliver Watson-Tefft farm, purchased in 1888. Today the campus is not only endowed with our lovely native shade trees, but also with many exotic and ornamental landscape plants. This self-guided tour identifies many botanically interesting and historically significant trees on the URI Kingston campus.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to evaluate a dual action prodrug concept wherein an unnatural myristic acid analogue is coupled via an ester moiety to the 5’-position of FLT or AZT. Subsequent intracellular cleavage of the prodrug ester would simultaneously release FLT or AZT that could inhibit reverse transcriptase (RT), and the myristic acid analogue that could inhibit myristoyl- CoA:protein N-myristoyltransferase (NMT).
