Word Groups In The Book Of Mormon, John A. Tvedtnes
Word Groups In The Book Of Mormon, John A. Tvedtnes
Journal of Book of Mormon Studies
Word groupings, which tend to fall in certain categories, are an authentic means of expression in Hebrew poetry. Such groupings may reveal ties between the Book of Mormon and the biblical world.

Distribution Of The Milliped Tylobolus Utahensis Chamberlin, With Remarks On T. Fredericksoni (Causey) (Spirobolida: Spirobolidae), Rowland M. Shelley, Selena B. Bauer
Great Basin Naturalist
Tylobolus utahensis Chamberlin, the only representative of the genus occurring in the southwestern deserts, ranges from central Inyo County, California, to the western periphery of Kane County, Utah. This distribution roughly corresponds to the northern limit of the Mojave Desert ecosystem and is also shown by the millipede Piedolus utus Chamberlin. (Spirobolida: Atopetholidae) and the centipede Theatops posticus (Say) (Scolopendromorpha: Cryptopidae). Tylobolus fredericksoni Causey, ostensibly from Douglas County, Kansas, is designated "nomen dubium" and disregarded pending collection of fresh material; Narceus gordanus (Chamberlin) is deleted from South Carolina and Tennessee. Tyobolus uncigerus (Wood) occurs north of the Columbia …
Contrasting Movement And Activity Of Large Brown Trout And Rainbow Trout In Silver Creek, Idaho, Michael K. Young, Richard A. Wilkison, J. M. Phelps Iii, J. S. Griffith
Contrasting Movement And Activity Of Large Brown Trout And Rainbow Trout In Silver Creek, Idaho, Michael K. Young, Richard A. Wilkison, J. M. Phelps Iii, J. S. Griffith
Great Basin Naturalist
Recent radiotelemetry studies demonstrated that stream-dwelling trout are mobile, but few have compared sympatric species. We used radiotelemetry to simultaneously monitor positions of 20 brown trout and 21 rainbow trout from May or June 1994 to February 1995 in Silver Creek, a small spring-fed stream in south central Idaho. Our biweekly observations from May to September indicated that rainbow trout had larger home ranges (medians, 606 m v. 131 m) and moved greater distances (medians, 1109 m v. 208 m) than brown trout. Furthermore, rainbow trout used more positions than brown trout (means, 7 v. 3) over this interval. Hourly …

Vaballathus And Zenobia (270-272 A.D.), Jacqueline Long
Vaballathus And Zenobia (270-272 A.D.), Jacqueline Long
Classical Studies: Faculty Publications and Other Works
Palmyra was a trading community near the margin of the Roman and Persian empires. In A.D. 270-272, under the leadership of Zenobia, the dowager of its ruling house, and in the name of her young son Vaballathus, Palmyrene forces took control of Roman Egypt, Arabia, and parts of Asia Minor. Although the Palmyrenes' actions were not (we believe) originally seditious in intent, Aurelian regarded the "Palmyrene Revolt" as a serious threat to his sovereignty. He campaigned personally against the Palmyrenes, and he ranked his victory over them along with his recovery of the "Gallic Empire." He reversed the largest extent …

The Role Of Proximal And Distal Sequence Variations In The Presentation Of An Immunodominant Ctl Epitope Encoded By The Ecotropic Ak7 Mulv, Victor Kim, William R. Green
The Role Of Proximal And Distal Sequence Variations In The Presentation Of An Immunodominant Ctl Epitope Encoded By The Ecotropic Ak7 Mulv, Victor Kim, William R. Green
Dartmouth Scholarship
An emv-14-derived, replication-competent ecotropic murine leukemia virus [MuLV], designated AK7, was previously cloned from the AKXL-5 recombinant inbred mouse strain and partially characterized. While genetically encoding for an envelope-derived immunodominant CTL epitope [KSPWFTTL] located in the transmembrane region of p15TM, this virus, unlike the emv-11-derived virus AKR623, fails to be efficiently recognized by AKR/Gross MuLV-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes [CTL]. AK7 thus provides the opportunity to study the role of retroviral sequence variations that are located outside of the immunodominant epitope as a mechanism of escape from CTL-mediated immune surveillance. In an attempt to identify which region[s] of the AK7 genome …

Endangered And Threatened Wildlife And Plants; Final Rule To Designate The Whooping Cranes Of The Rocky Mountains As Experimental Nonessential And To Remove Whooping Crane Critical Habitat Designations From Four Locations
Endangered Species Bulletin
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service determines that it will designate the whooping crane (Grus americana) population of the Rocky Mountains as an experimental nonessential population and will remove whooping crane critical habitat designations from four National Wildlife Refuges; Bosque del Apache in New Mexico, Monte Vista and Alamosa in Colorado, and Grays Lake in Idaho. The private lands involved are holdings inside refuge boundaries and a 1-mile buffer around Grays Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The Service will use this population, and captive-reared sandhill cranes and whooping cranes, in experiments to evaluate methods for introducing whooping cranes into …
