The First Approximate Conditions For The Formation Of Mesomorphous Coacervates., Stanley H. Jury 1916-1983

An analysis of the literature shows the close analogy between liquid crystalline phases in solution (fluids separating from main portion of solution and having some of the directional properties of crystals) and unipolar coacervates (solvated micelles of like charge separating as a distinct colloidal phase). A theory is here advanced that liquid crystalline phases in solution are the direct result of a maximum in osmotic pressure which is predictable from the first approximate equation of the Debye-Huckel theory in the same manner as unipolar coacervates were predicted by I. As indicated by the title, this study presents a history of Federal Legislation against Mormon polygamy prior to 1890 and of certain United States Supreme Court decisions supporting such legislation. The purpose of this thesis is to set forth the ideals and the philosophy of reading for young people and to show the importance of' stimulating and guiding students in all phases of their reading so that they may find increasing enjoyment and satisfaction and may grow in critical judgment and appreciation. It is therefore necessary that the books from which they choose their reading are of the best available, and so it is important that the librarian give the greatest thought and study to the selection of books for her library.

This subject was chosen becasue I felt a need of a method for the teaching of brass instruments. Most teachers whose major instrument is not a member of the brass family have had too little opportunity to study and find out what is necessary for developing a good breass instrument player. In far too many cases a teacher is expected to be able to teach the brass instruments after completing a three or four months course.
