This disclosure presents an adaptive intelligence framework for improving the reliability of planned healthcare service interactions. The framework evaluates service readiness using operational evidence such as appointment status, facility and provider availability, travel conditions, accessibility requirements, and information freshness. It identifies unresolved operational information and determines the decision value of acquiring additional evidence based on its expected contribution to the reliability assessment relative to cost, time, effort, privacy, and resource use. Selected evidence is acquired and the reliability assessment is updated iteratively until sufficient confidence is established or further information provides limited decision value. Creating coordinated interactions for multi-agent systems, such as physical robots or virtual characters, can present challenges in synchronizing expressive dialogue with coherent physical actions and adapting to unscripted events. The disclosed technology describes a multi-agent orchestration engine with a decoupled architecture that can employ a tiered timeline system to manage a global narrative and individual agent states. A dynamic interruption handler can leverage a large language model to reason about real-time inputs and determine if an agent should deviate from a scripted path. This dataset contains observations from four Colorado meteorological stations used as part of a US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab (CRREL) snow strength project.  The purpose of these data is to measure the meteorological variables that impact the trafficability and supportability of a seasonal snowpack and will be used as forcing data to model snow strength across time and space.  Measured data include snow depth, air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, soil temperature, and radiation.

Dunker and Schwartz at the University of Nebraska at Omaha were curious about experiences of archivists teaching outside the archives, inspired by teaching a new public history course for the history department. There is little existing scholarship about archivists teaching credit-bearing courses outside the library. Existing literature focuses on pedagogical practices for history faculty teaching courses, archivists teaching “one-shots”, and collaborations between teaching faculty and archivists for class assignments. To fill this gap, we created a survey to gather opinions and preferences about teaching credit-bearing courses as part of, or adjacent to, professional responsibilities in academic libraries and archives.

This dataset contains snowpack and snow strength observations from three study plots in Idaho, five study plots in Colorado,  three study plots in Alaska, and four study plots in Wyoming.  These data were collected in an effort to model the trafficability and supportability of a seasonal snowpack, and will be assimilated in SnowModel to model strength across time and space.  Data collected include stratigraphy, density, permittivity, temperature, specific surface area (SSA), snow depth transects, ram penetrometer profiles, Snow Scope profiles, SnowMicroPen (SMP) profiles.

A technique is proposed herein for transporting Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) overhead over a 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) Optical Service Channel (OSC) by replacing available inter-packet-gap (IPG) idle capacity with OAM Sequence Ordered Sets. A hardware data path between a 1000Base-X Physical Coding Sublayer (PCS) and a 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GbE) PCS performs rate adaptation, 64b/66b mapping, 256b/257b transcoding, and forward error correction (FEC), while preserving a 1.25-Gbit/s line rate. Clinical decision support systems using large language models can face challenges in reliability and explainability, particularly in adhering to validated clinical guidelines when processing unstructured and incomplete patient electronic health records. Self-attention mechanisms in neural network models can result in quadratic time and memory complexity, creating a memory bottleneck when processing long sequences. A hierarchical approximation of self-attention can address this limitation. The historical key-value cache can be represented as a balanced hierarchical tree where internal nodes store aggregated representations of token clusters. A query-dependent traversal mechanism can then approximate the influence of distant clusters by pruning subtrees based on a configurable criterion, such as the ratio of a cluster's spatial diameter to its distance from the query. While operational stress affects officers, organizational stress is more damaging. Transformational leadership can help create a psychologically safe work environment, but research on this link is limited and mixed. The purpose of this qualitative mini ethnography adapted from traditional ethnography with limited time and scope, was to explore and understand perceptions of barriers and facilitators to health literacy among Black Americans with overweight and obesity in three South Carolina counties. Population data showed that approximately 40.3% of U.S. adults are obese. Moreover, Non-Hispanic Black communities are disproportionately affected by overweight and obesity despite efforts to combat the weight-related health risk.
