BACKGROUND: Fluctuations in daily stress and the inability to cope with this stress (i.e., coping) can negatively impact behavior and potentially weight loss. Longitudinal studies using ecological momentary assessment (EMA) of psychological factors and behavior may inform interventions that can be adapted in real-time to modify stress and stress-related factors to enhance weight loss. This study's purpose is to examine variability in stress and stress-related concepts and weight loss during a behavioral weight loss program with the intent of this informing future interventions.

Loss-of-function variants of the CHKB gene cause an autosomal recessive disease described as an early onset congenital megaconial (large peripheral mitochondria) muscular dystrophy. CHKB encodes choline kinase β, the first enzyme in the biochemical pathway for synthesis of the major membrane phospholipid phosphatidylcholine. Chkb-/- mice recapitulate the human disease with affected skeletal muscle displaying a decrease in strength, myofiber atrophy, megaconial mitochondria, fat accumulation within muscle cells, and an increase in muscle injury. Here, we assessed the therapeutic potential of an AAV therapy for the treatment of CHKB-mediated muscular dystrophy. Chkb-/- mice were injected once suborbitally with three different doses …

This is an updated version of the paper [29] by the author which originally appeared in 1997. The original paper was a survey of the closely related fields of taut and Dupin submanifolds of Euclidean space, and this updated version includes many results in the field that have appeared since the publication of the original version. The emphasis is on stating results in their proper context and noting areas for future research, and relatively few proofs are given. The important class of isoparametric hypersurfaces is surveyed in detail, as is the relationship between the two concepts of taut and Dupin. …

There is growing interest in automating business activities with Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) due to latter's seeming ease of use. However, little is known on when they are suitable for a task over other alternatives developed over the years - local computation, REstful State Transfer (REST), and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) - considering development speed, performance, and operational cost. This deposit contains one realization of each of the two simulation platforms of Ref. [1], a two-dimensional (2D) scalar field and a three-dimensional (3D) vector-field component, together with two self-contained Python scripts that perform On-Shell Compression and Reconstruction (OSCAR) on them. Each script Fourier-transforms the stored field, measures the shell radius from the spectrum, retains only the Fourier components inside the shell of full width α/ℓs around it for α = 1, 3, 5, 8, 12, reconstructs the field by the inverse transform, and plots the reconstructed intensities, panels (a)–(e), next to the original field, panel (f), on a …

Appellate Term 1st Dept affirms Housing Court decision denying tenant's motion to vacate a two-attorney stipulation of settlement. Tenant failed to meet the very high standard for vacatur of two-attorney stipulations and had benefitted from the stipulation. Tenant's argument that the apartment may have been unlawfully deregulated was held an insufficient basis to vacate, particularly where tenant offered no facts to challenge the high-rent vacancy deregulation.

EEG-based neurofeedback (ENF) may be utilised as an intervention for improvement of motor performance in Parkinson's movement impairment. This exploratory study aimed to determine the ability of healthy participants to bidirectionally modulate sensorimotor beta power using ENF in real time and examine learning trends. The protocol trained participants to increase and decrease the amplitude of their individual beta power over C3 using a double-blind sham-controlled and within-subjects design. Fifteen healthy participants completed the study (mean age = 38.9, SD = 14.9, age range = 20–66; nine female and six male). CIMFR-1.0 is a self-contained, open-hardware chemical processing unit that converts clean, post-consumer polyolefin plastics (Polyethylene [PE] and Polypropylene [PP]) into drop-in industrial fuels: C5-C12 gasoline-cut hydrocarbons (target: 91+ RON) and low-sulfur off-road diesel (target: <15 ppm sulfur).

The system uses a two-stage thermal/catalytic pathway grounded in published research from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), which demonstrated that AlCl3-containing molten salts convert polyolefins into gasoline-range branched C6-C12 alkanes at temperatures below 170°C via Lewis-acid carbenium ion chemistry — without noble metal catalysts or an external hydrogen source. This is not standard thermal pyrolysis (450°C-600°C). It is low-temperature catalytic depolymerization followed by vapor-phase zeolite upgrading. …

Proof assistants, unit tests and numerical cross-checks all terminate on correctness. Novelty is not a property of the artifact; it is a property of the artifact's relation to a corpus, and it therefore requires a separate check against a separate object. Virtual try-on (VTO) systems using generative models can be a challenge. To address this, an agentic framework can evaluate and correct errors in generated VTO images. The framework may operate as an iterative feedback loop, where a multimodal evaluation module can analyze an image for pose and semantic discrepancies. Based on the analysis, a routing system can direct the task to a targeted corrective pathway, such as a full structural regeneration or a localized semantic repair, guided by a dynamic prompt engine.
