Physical-Chemical Properties Of Nmgca-Fertilizers Obtained On The Basis Of Ammonium Nitrate And Vermiculite, Madiyar J. Jabbarbergenov Sep 2026

Physical-Chemical Properties Of Nmgca-Fertilizers Obtained On The Basis Of Ammonium Nitrate And Vermiculite, Madiyar J. Jabbarbergenov

CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Although ammonium nitrate (AN) ranks second after urea among nitrogen fertilizers in terms of production and application volume, it remains the leading agent regarding plant nutrient uptake efficiency. This is primarily because nearly the entire total nitrogen content is assimilated in both ammonium (NH4+) and nitrate (NO3-) forms. However, the widespread agricultural utilization of AN is significantly constrained by several disadvantageous factors, including its physiological acidity, high hygroscopicity, caking tendency, low granule strength, thermal instability, and high explosive hazards. In this study, to enhance the commercial and physical-chemical properties of AN, a vermiculite mineral modifier was incorporated. The chemical composition …

CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Piezoelectric ceramics are smart functional materials capable of converting mechanical energy into electrical energy and vice versa, making them indispensable for modern sensors, transducers, and precision actuators. Historically dominated by lead-containing materials like Pb(Zr,Ti)O₃ (PZT), strict environmental regulations and health concerns have driven an urgent global shift toward eco-friendly alternatives. Currently, bismuth sodium titanate (Bi₁/₂Na₁/₂TiO₃–BNT)-based solid solutions are at the forefront of lead-free piezoceramic trends due to their excellent polarization and electromechanical coupling properties. In this study, lead-free piezoelectric ceramics based on the (76–x)Bi₁/₂Na₁/₂TiO₃–24SrTiO₃ (BNST24) system were synthesized, and their structural, dielectric, and electromechanical properties were systematically investigated. This study …

Reversible Microvascular Ischemia With St-Segment Elevation: An Underrecognized Manifestation Of Antibody-Mediated Rejection In Cardiac Allograft Recipients, Jonathan Ahn, Justin Daneshrad, Liset Stoletniy, Dmitry Abramov Sep 2026

Reversible Microvascular Ischemia With St-Segment Elevation: An Underrecognized Manifestation Of Antibody-Mediated Rejection In Cardiac Allograft Recipients, Jonathan Ahn, Justin Daneshrad, Liset Stoletniy, Dmitry Abramov

The VAD Journal

Electrocardiographic manifestations of cardiac allograft rejection are often subtle, and stress-induced ST-segment elevation associated with antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) is rarely reported. We describe a 34-year-old heart transplant recipient with progressive exertional angina, nonobstructive coronary disease on angiography, and exercise-induced ST-segment elevation in lead augmented vector right, high-lateral leads I, and augmented voltage left, along with diffuse ST-segment depressions, hypotension, and transient ventricular tachycardia. Concurrent emergence of complement-binding donor-specific antibodies with high mean fluorescence intensity raised concern for AMR, prompting treatment with corticosteroids, plasma exchange, and intravenous immunoglobulin despite the absence of biopsy confirmation. After therapy, symptoms, exercise-induced ischemic electrocardiographic abnormalities, …

GLP-1 is an incretin hormone that is naturally produced in the body that regulates blood glucose and appetite. The first GLP-1RA that was FDA approved, exenatide, in 2005, originated from the Gila monster and beaded lizard, via the discovery of the exendin-4 peptide. GLP-1RAs function by mimicking endogenous GLP-1 incretin hormone, leading to an increase in glucose-dependent insulin release from beta-cells of the pancreas, decrease in glucagon release, delayed gastric emptying, and satiety. Due to the benefits seen from initiating GLP-1RAs in the market, it sparked interest in numerous studies which proved that certain GLP-1RAs can provide cardiorenal protection. The …

Reimagining Tourism Education Through Transformative Learning And Systems Change: Fast-Tracking Curriculum Reform To Close The Sustainability Competency Gap, James Hanrahan Dr, Anita Conefrey, Emmet Mcloughlin Dr, Domhnall Melly Dr

Irish Journal of Tourism, Hospitality, Leisure and Event Research

Tourism accounts for approximately eight per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and faces increasing pressure to transition toward low-carbon, regenerative development pathways. However, evidence from recent studies across Ireland, the United Kingdom and five European countries reveals a persistent sustainability competency gap within tourism higher education, where graduates often lack the systems thinking, ethical reasoning, digital literacy and applied decarbonisation skills required to support Net-Zero transitions.

This paper examines how tourism education can respond to this challenge by integrating transformative learning and systems change approaches into curriculum design. Drawing on a conceptual analytic synthesis informed by three complementary empirical …

Unraveling The Connectedness Between Non-Fungible Tokens, Decentralized Finance, And Green Assets During Turbulent Times, Rija Anwar, Syed Ali Raza Sep 2026

Unraveling The Connectedness Between Non-Fungible Tokens, Decentralized Finance, And Green Assets During Turbulent Times, Rija Anwar, Syed Ali Raza

Business Review

Green assets during the Bitcoin plummet-2018, COVID-2019, worldwide decline in oil demand-2020, and the Russia-Ukraine Conflict. The quantile connectedness approach, combined with the extreme tail of distribution technique (Ando et al., 2021), has been employed. According to static quantile connectedness, NFTs and DeFi assets perform the role of spillover transmitters; in contrast, green assets receive spillovers across three distinctive market settings. Additionally, the dynamic time-varying net directional connectedness estimates reveal that during normal market condition, the connectedness degree between NFTs, DeFi assets, and green assets remains low relative to extreme events at different point in time. Moreover, it provides valuable …

Thanking Strategies Across Relational Scenarios And Dyadic Gender Configurations In Urban Saudi Colloquial Arabic, Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Alzahrani

Scientific Journal of King Faisal University: Humanities and Management Sciences

This study examines thanking strategies across three relational scenarios and four dyadic gender configurations among 120 university-educated urban Saudi colloquial Arabic speakers aged 20-40 from Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. A scenario-based discourse completion task (DCT) yielded 720 responses comprising 1,843 strategy tokens; these data were supplemented by interviews with 30 participants. The intimate, acquaintance, and stranger scenarios differed in favor type and imposition, representing distinct relational-situational contexts. The DCT elicited contextually appropriate responses; accordingly, the findings are interpreted as reflecting participants' sociopragmatic preferences rather than naturally occurring interactional behavior. Expressing Benediction (30.1%) and Thanking (25.7%) were the two most frequent …

Evaluation Of Disaster Mitigation Policy Implementation And Public Health Integration Through The “Sipatokkong” Program In Strengthening Tourism Village Resilience, Nurul Azisah Sahrani, Andi Alif Raihan Analta

Journal of Indonesian Health Policy and Administration

Disaster risks in tourism villages are increasing, generating multidimensional impacts on environmental, economic, institutional, and public health. In late 2024, Mattabulu Tourism Village experienced an 83% decline in tourist visits following a series of disasters, disrupting tourism activities and weakening local governance capacity. This study uses a qualitative case study design to evaluate disaster mitigation policy implementation through the “Sipatokkong” Program. Evaluation applied four Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development–Development Assistance Committee (OECD-DAC) criteria: relevance, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability, operationalized through policy implementation, street-level bureaucracy, and collaborative governance frameworks. Data were obtained from five documents and non-participatory field observations conducted …

The Cognitive Construction Of Sustainable Environmental Awareness Through Green Language Pedagogy In Second Language Acquisition, Meral Yavuz Kartal, Osman Yılmaz Kartal

Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development

The escalating global ecological crisis highlights the need for new approaches to sustainability education, while the cognitive role of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) remains underexplored. This study employs a critical literature review with a systematic search and qualitative thematic synthesis to develop a proposed Green Language Pedagogy (GLP) model. The review followed a four-stage screening protocol (identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion) and analyzed 50 theoretical and empirical sources published between 2014 and 2025. This analysis of the selected literature reveals a stark disparity: an estimated 85% of the reviewed environmental education research focuses on factual knowledge transfer, whereas only 15% …

Eeg-Emg Coupling And Functional Neuroplasticity In Elite Combat Athletes: Effects Of Neurofeedback Training On Corticomuscular Coherence And Performance, Alicja Markiel, Kinga Łosińska, Marcin Żak, Adam Maszczyk

Baltic Journal of Health and Physical Activity

Background: Neurofeedback training has gained attention as a neuroplasticity based intervention for athletic performance, yet pathways linking cortical oscillatory modulation to neuromuscular adaptation and strength remain poorly characterized in elite combat athletes. Objective: This study examines whether EEG neurofeedback targeting sensorimotor alpha upregulation and frontal theta/delta modulation enhances cortico-muscular coherence, neuromuscular function, and maximal strength in elite MMA athletes. Methods: Thirty elite male MMA athletes (n = 10/arm) were randomized to intensive neurofeedback (E20G, 20 sessions), abbreviated neurofeedback (E15G, 15 sessions), or sham control. EEG spectral indices, EMG parameters (RMS, MF, iEMG, onset latency), beta band CMC, and maximal strength …

A Real-World Characterization Of Patients Receiving Biologics For Type 2 Inflammatory Diseases In A Tertiary Rhinology Practice, T. Blaise Marshall, Matthew Lelegren, Joseph K. Han, Kent Lam

Eastern Virginia Medical Journal

Background: Biologic therapies, such as omalizumab, mepolizumab, dupilumab, and benralizumab, are increasingly used in the treatment of various type 2 inflammatory diseases, including chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP), asthma, and atopic dermatitis. While these biologic therapies have demonstrated efficacy and safety in their respective clinical trials, real-world characterization of the use of biologic therapies provides insight into how these treatments are prescribed and utilized among the general population.

Objective: We aim to characterize the patient population in a single tertiary otolaryngology practice that is receiving biologic therapies for all type 2 inflammatory diseases.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective chart …

As college athletic departments continue to put considerable resources into basketball facilities, understanding the impact these venues can have on attendance has become increasingly vital. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of new basketball facilities on attendance among NCAA Division I men's basketball programs. Using a longitudinal pre-post comparative research design, 20 programs that opened new venues since the 2015-16 season served as the sample. A dataset was created using publicly available secondary archival data sources. Findings highlight attendance patterns after the opening of the new venue, facility capacity utilization, and changes in program winning percentage. …

The Supreme Court's Ideal Audience, H. Jefferson Powell Sep 2026

The Supreme Court's Ideal Audience, H. Jefferson Powell

ConLawNOW

This Essay argues that the answer to the troubling question of whether constitutional law on the Supreme Court level is truly "law," is yes. Or at least can be yes without any radical change to our modes of constitutional law reasoning by understanding how and why the Justices' write their opinions. It suggests that George Christie’s classic book, The Notion of an Ideal Audience in Legal Argument, provides part of the basis for affirming the law-ness of American constitutional law in two ways. First, using the lens of constitutional law provided by Christie’s formulation of the ideal audience concept, it …

Enhancing Visitor Experiences Through Storytelling In Interpretive Tour Guiding, Naoko Yamada

International Journal of Tour Guiding and Visitor Attraction Research

Heritage interpretation enables visitors to make sense of their experiences by communicating meaningful messages at natural and cultural heritage sites. By fostering understanding, appreciation, and personal relevance, interpretation enriches visitor experiences and encourages responsible attitudes and behaviors. Among various interpretive approaches, storytelling has emerged as a particularly promising means of achieving these outcomes. However, research examining how storytelling enriches heritage interpretation and promotes deeper visitor engagement remains limited. This conceptual paper synthesizes literature from storytelling, psychology, marketing, tourism, and heritage interpretation to develop a framework explaining how storytelling influences interpretive outcomes. The framework proposes that story elements activate psychological mechanisms, …
