This document, dated July 12, 1824, is a mortgage deed between Stephen Stanton, Thomas Hoxie and Edward Wilcox for the sale of a tract of land in Washington County, Rhode Island. Stanton agrees to return payment of a loan in the sum of five hundred and ninety dollars (one hundred and nineteen dollars from Hoxie and three hundred and twenty-four dollars from Wilcox) to be paid on demand. The deed is signed by Stephen Stanton and witnessed by Daniel Stanton and Samuel Stanton. The deed was recorded in Westerly 12th Book of Records for land evidence by the town clerk, …
