Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a school-based educational intervention aimed at helping children and youth develop competencies to promote positive academic growth, behavior, and development. The success of the SEL intervention depends on several factors beyond the curriculum, including the role of teachers, the quality of the SEL implementation, and the classroom and school context. Chronic pain impacts all areas of life for most Americans, but the issue is particularly salient among African Americans (AAs) as they face adverse pain outcomes. There is little understanding of pain management strategies used by AAs to inform pain management recommendations. The COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges for nursing homes in the United States, including those in Minnesota, due to shortages of nursing staff and the impact on resident care quality. This study aimed to assess the relationship between nursing staff shortages and COVID-19 mortality and infections among nursing home residents in Minnesota. The analysis used data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services public database, considering rural and urban locations. The association between mental health court participation and a reduction in recidivism is well documented. The question of whether mental health courts meet their therapeutic goals has received little scholarly attention. Therapeutic outcomes for mental health court participants are not well understood. By 2050, 152 million people worldwide, primarily low-income populations, will have Alzheimer's disease (AD). African American (AA) women informal caregivers are primary caregivers in low-income neighborhoods, and they suffer from burnout and poor health, including physical and mental fatigue, despair, anxiety, hypertension, and stressors that can lead to heart attacks, strokes, or premature mortality. The Informal Caregiver Integrative Model (ICIM) theoretical framework was used to survey 120 participants using SurveyMonkey was administered to collect data for this cross-sectional quantitative study. The purpose of this review was to synthesize available evidence related to hospital utilization rates for non-emergency conditions and quality of health and to provide strategies for leaders to reduce ED utilization rates for uninsured Hispanics. Low employee retention rates have been a persistent issue in a county department within a government agency located in the upstate of South Carolina. The State of South Carolina attempted to alleviate the turnover rate within the state’s social service offices by increasing case managers’ annual salaries. Although the increase in salary was an incentive, it failed to address the root of the low retention problem.
