This Doctor of Nursing Practice project addressed the critical issue of medication nonadherence among mental health patients by implementing a staff education program at an outpatient clinic in the Mid-Atlantic region USA. The program focused on enhancing staff knowledge and confidence through training in psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Nonadherence often leads to relapse, hospitalization, and poor outcomes, compounded by a lack of structured interventions at the project site. Sixteen clinic staff members participated in biweekly training sessions over a one-month period. Pre- and post-training assessments revealed a 44.79% increase in staff knowledge and a 50% improvement in confidence …

The problem that was investigated through this study is that preservice elementary teachers struggle to incorporate blended learning pedagogy. The purpose of this qualitative study was to investigate preservice elementary teachers’ perceptions on instructional opportunities and primary concerns when incorporating blended learning pedagogy. This project aimed to improve the consistency of PHQ-9 depression screenings for young adults in an outpatient mental health clinic. Through the implementation of standardized protocols and staff training, the goal was to reduce variability in screening outcomes. The evaluation method of the project involved staff interviews, surveys, and comparing pretest and post-test results to measure staff knowledge and confidence improvements. The results showed that there were significant improvements in staff knowledge and confidence. This project highlights the importance of standardized procedures in improving mental health care for young adults.

This quantitative study explored the relationship between remote workers’ perceptions of their leaders’ emotional intelligence and their self-reported psychological safety, with gender and tenure as moderating variables. Data from 172 remote employees using a cross-sectional online survey revealed that perceived leader emotional intelligence was a significant predictor of psychological safety, both as a composite measure and across its four dimensions of emotional intelligence: self-emotional appraisal, others’ emotional appraisal, regulation of emotion, and use of emotion. The problem in this study was that 88% of local Montana elementary school students were not proficient in reading by the end of the 2023–2024 school year. The study’s purpose was to determine whether a relationship existed between students' performance on standardized reading tests in the local school setting and the key variables: age, gender, race, and socioeconomic background. Grounded in Piaget’s constructivist theory of cognitive development, the analysis explored whether the demographic factors contributed to differences in reading performance. Depression is one of the most common psychiatric illnesses and one of the main causes of disability globally. Currently, at behavioral care facility patients are not consistently screened during the initial and follow-up visits due to limited staff knowledge in using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) screening tool. Evidence-based literature recommends depression screening be done at every initial and follow-up visit. The Relationship Between Anthropometric Sizing, Fit Issues, And Return Rates In Plus-Size Women's Apparel, Cassondra Smith

Retail business owners remain concerned with apparel sizing and return sales, as sizing is a frequent predictor of apparel returns and decreased revenue. Grounded in new product development theory (NPD), the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between anthropometric apparel sizing standards, sizing and fit issues, and return sales. The participants were 89 women’s bridal apparel owners and leaders within the retail business sector who completed a 5-point Likert-type survey. The results of the multiple linear regression were significant, 3, 85) = 32.301, p < .001, R2 = .533. In the final model, there were two predictors which were significant, sizing and fit (t = 9.718, p = <.001, ß = .735) and sizing standards (t = 2.478, p = .01, ß = .205). A key recommendation is for retail business leaders to acknowledge the growth in the U.S. female apparel consumer. Further, the alignment of sizing standards and product offerings provides functional apparel and mitigates return sales due to sizing. The implications for positive social change include the potential for the apparel industry to acknowledge the growing complexity of women’s sizing, which is influenced by diverse cultural backgrounds and body types. This shift could promote greater inclusivity, enhance consumer confidence, reduce return rates, and foster broader acceptance of diverse female body types within the industry.

Student incivility towards faculty was less studied, and merited investigation because incivility can lead to faculty discontentment, stress, and attrition, exacerbating the scarcity of nursing faculty. Sleep disturbances are reported in almost one-third of military personnel deployed in support of Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO), resulting in approximately 600,000 military personnel and veterans with clinically relevant sleep conditions (Mysliwiec et al., 2013). This study assesses how implementing staff education will increase awareness and impact patients' sleep health in an overseas treatment facility. The project demonstrated after implementing several staff education courses for the nursing personnel (n=22), knowledge and confidence improved by 33%. The initiative shows an enhanced staff understanding of sleep health, which impacts the recognition of sleep members with sleep-related concerns.

Blended learning combines traditional classroom instruction with online learning experiences, creating a flexible and personalized approach to education. This approach allows teachers to address individual student needs and pacing while fostering greater student engagement. In a large public school district in Colorado, blended learning is being inconsistently implemented.
