While extensive research has examined the impact of mental health challenges on academic and occupational functioning, the effect on marital satisfaction remains underexplored in the literature. Previous studies indicate robust correlations between happiness and mental health, but the specific mediating role of happiness in couples with mental health issues is unaddressed. This archival quantitative study, grounded in Bowen family systems theory, addressed happiness's mediating role on marital satisfaction in couples facing mental health challenges. Exposure to high levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is emerging as a crucial risk factor for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a deadly lung disease with a significant public health burden. The Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) in Alaska has one of the worst PM2.5 issues in the United States. The PM2.5 issues in the area are associated with increased wood-burning and temperature inversions in the winter and wildfires in the summer. Online credit recovery (OCR) allows US students at risk of dropping out of school to retake courses to meet graduation requirements and eventually graduate from high school. The problem addressed in this study is that despite participating in online English II credit recovery (ELA II OCR), students in a rural school district in North Florida still had a high failure rate on the Florida Standards Assessment English Language Arts (FSA-ELA) exam. During periods of heightened political intensity, gay individuals experience increases in discrimination and prejudice, impacting their mental health, making the need for advocacy and support, particularly from parents and guardians, vital. Recent research shows that parent–child relationships can be heavily influenced by politics and the intensity of their political beliefs. The current study aimed to identify if there was a relationship between cross-ethnic racial identity and cognitive empathy for others and whether social and personal identities mediated this effect. Self-categorization theory was used as the theoretical framework. In this study, it was hypothesized that cross-ethnic racial identity significantly predicts empathic accuracy, and that social and personal identities mediate this relationship. A non-experimental, researcher-designed survey was used to collect participant data and demographic characteristics. By 2050, 152 million people worldwide, primarily low-income populations, will have Alzheimer's disease (AD). African American (AA) women informal caregivers are primary caregivers in low-income neighborhoods, and they suffer from burnout and poor health, including physical and mental fatigue, despair, anxiety, hypertension, and stressors that can lead to heart attacks, strokes, or premature mortality. The Informal Caregiver Integrative Model (ICIM) theoretical framework was used to survey 120 participants using SurveyMonkey was administered to collect data for this cross-sectional quantitative study. Homelessness and period (menstruation) poverty are recurring global phenomena. In the United States, approximately 220,000 women experience homelessness annually. Studies have shown that approximately 35% of individuals who menstruate experience period poverty while living in Baltimore, Maryland. The theoretical foundation was Wollstonecraft‘s theory of feminism. Mental health managers are concerned with turnover because it affects employees, mental health programs, and patients. Drawing upon self-determination theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to determine if employee trust in leadership and intrinsic motivation were correlated to and, thus, predict turnover intention within the mental health field in Northeast Florida. Data were collected from 100 current mental health managers in middle management and below in Northeast Florida through psychologically valid questionnaires. Not long ago, researchers and providers learned about the negative impacts that adverse childhood experiences have on not only the psychological health of the survivor but also the physical. Adverse physical health outcomes such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes mellitus, autoimmune diseases, and more were identified as a risk for this population. The purpose of this generic qualitative study was to explore how African American female ex-offenders perceive the effectiveness of family reentry programs and the policies governing those programs. By providing additional information particular to African American female ex-offenders, this study has the potential to broaden the scope and depth of existing studies and enhance public policies governing family reentry programs. The theoretical framework concentrated on the four variables of Hirschi’s social control theory: attachment, commitment, involvement, and belief. In 2016, there were 17,072 people living with HIV in Puerto Rico. Most HIV cases were among men, with the primary mode of transmission identified as men who have sex with other men followed by heterosexual contact. Among women, heterosexual contact was the primary mode of HIV transmission. The rise in the numbers of individuals infected with HIV through heterosexual contact suggest the prevalence of high-risk sexual behaviors including multiple sexual partners and unprotected vaginal and anal sex.
