Although family members play an important role in decisions regarding their loved ones in long-term care facilities, their experiences have not been explored. Guided by Bowen’s family system and Simon’s decision-making theories, this qualitative study utilized phenomenology. The research question was: What are experiences involving the decision-making process for family members when placing family members in long-term care facilities in Arkansas? Purposive sampling resulted in face-to-face interviews with a sample of 11 such family members over 18 years of age. The problem addressed was that academic achievement gaps existed for low socioeconomic status (SES) family special education students among special education students in United States schools. This problem was important because it negatively affected equity in education as low SES community special education students lagged behind more affluent community special education students. Summary A clinical practice guideline (CPG) was developed because the perinatal department lacked standardized management of pregestational and gestational diabetes. The practice issue is relevant since managing maternal glucose ranges during pregnancy mitigates adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes. This study addresses the critical need to understand how mental health challenges and external stressors affect long-term recovery from an Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Grounded in the Recovery Capital Framework, this study analyzed the relationship between depression, stressful life events, and recovery capital (RC) among individuals in recovery from severe OUD. Utilizing a quantitative nonexperimental survey design, data were collected from a purposive sample of 107 adults aged 18 and older who had been in recovery for at least 2 years. The purpose of the qualitative phenomenological research was to investigate the experiences of young adults raised by one caregiver and how the lack of fathers in the household impacted their decision-making processes concerning engaging in criminal behaviors. The purpose of this study was to explore lived experiences of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) regarding anesthesia provision. The lived experience of anesthesia provision (LEAP) involves what CRNAs experience while providing anesthesia as well as what they believe is most important in that phenomenon. The problem addressed through this study was the absence of a critical examination of laboratory exercises used with first-year nonbiology majors and the deployment of virtual laboratories in the biology department at the project site university without critical analyses associated with the efficacy of virtual labs. By 2050, 152 million people worldwide, primarily low-income populations, will have Alzheimer's disease (AD). African American (AA) women informal caregivers are primary caregivers in low-income neighborhoods, and they suffer from burnout and poor health, including physical and mental fatigue, despair, anxiety, hypertension, and stressors that can lead to heart attacks, strokes, or premature mortality. The Informal Caregiver Integrative Model (ICIM) theoretical framework was used to survey 120 participants using SurveyMonkey was administered to collect data for this cross-sectional quantitative study.
