Depression is common yet frequently underdiagnosed in group home settings serving adult and geriatric residents. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project aimed to improve staff knowledge and promote routine use of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), a validated depression screening tool, through an evidence-based educational intervention. A practice gap was identified at the project site due to inconsistent use and documentation of the PHQ-9, primarily linked to staff knowledge deficits. The project explored whether educating staff on PHQ-9 administration, scoring, and documentation would lead to improved knowledge, as measured by pre- and post-intervention assessments. The problem explored in this study was the low graduation rate of first-generation college students at the university study site. Using Bandura’s self-efficacy theory, the purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore first-generation college graduates’ beliefs about their educational experience as students upon entering a bachelor’s degree program, identify obstacles, and understand ways to master those obstacles to successfully graduate. Scholarly literature review found a gap in the identification of barriers experienced by pediatric office providers (POPs) for the provision of early childhood development (ECD) surveillance among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) children under the age of three years. This study was developed to address the partner site's need for an evidence-based approach to improving patient engagement among elderly individuals managing chronic diseases. Low engagement, often driven by poor provider–patient communication, non-compliance, and limited use of healthcare technology, was identified as a barrier to effective self-management and optimal health outcomes. Guided by the social cognitive theory, behavioral, cognitive, and environmental factors influencing engagement and self-efficacy were examined. This qualitative phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of young widows who use Instagram for grief support following the death of a spouse. Young widows often face disenfranchised grief and limited access to traditional support systems, which can impede emotional processing and identity reconstruction. Law enforcement agencies across the United States are facing critical challenges with the recruitment and retention of officers. This study examined whether differences existed in occupational resilience and turnover intentions across generations of active law enforcement personnel, and whether resilience levels were correlated with turnover intentions. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used to collect data via an online survey that included the Predictive 6-Factor Resilience Scale and the Expanded Multidimensional Turnover Intentions Scale. The purpose of this quantitative, correlational study was to examine the impact of communication and job satisfaction on registered nurses’ turnover intentions. The conceptual framework integrated Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg and Mausner’s Motivation-Hygiene Theory, and Social Exchange Theory. This quantitative study examined the relationships among nursing resilience, time elapsed since WPV exposure, and job satisfaction among emergency nurses (ENs) in the United States. The educational sector in the United States experienced substantial workforce changes during the Great Resignation, a period following the COVID-19 pandemic when many employees left their jobs. In response, school leaders were encouraged to understand the relationship between their leadership styles and teacher job satisfaction. This quantitative correlational study used Job Satisfaction Theory as its theoretical framework to examine the relationship between three leadership styles—transactional, transformational, and laissez-faire (passive-avoidant)—and teacher job satisfaction in the post-pandemic context. The rate of infant mortality is a pressing health issue in the United States, as ethnic minorities are disproportionately affected. This study addressed how race controls the predictive power of demographic, socioeconomic, and geographic factors on infant mortality. Using a quantitative correlational design, secondary data from 181 individuals listed in the CDC-National Vital Statistics System database were used, which contains nationally aggregated data related to infant mortality rates.
