A survey of the chemical literature revealed a lack of agreement in the values reported by various investigators for the solubility product constants of the metallic sulfides. The object of this thesis was to obtain a reliable set of solubility product constant values for the metallic sulfides by means of thermodynamic calculations. Of considerable importance in calculating the values of the solubility product constants of the metallic sulfides is the value of the standard free energy of formation of the sulfide ion. This study of the Norway rat, Rattus norvegicus (Erxleben) and its consortes was undertaken in Utah County to determine : (1} the frequency of infection of Trichinella spiralis (Owen) Railliet, the causative organism of trichinosis in humans, (2) the populations of fleas, lice and mites on the rat, and (3) the occurence of other consortes. This study covered a period from January 1951 through June, 1951. Additional records were made available from studies being made by the Department of Zoology and Entomology, Brigham Young University on parasitic arthropods (listed as Project Ten). The purpose of this study is to make readily available, in helpful form all information possible on leadership, facilities, and equipment in men's physical education in North Dakota schools. It was originally planned that this should be a study of women's physical education as well as men's, but inasmuch as the questionnaires were sent to men instructors, not much information concerning the women's program was reported. For this reason it has become necessary to limit this study to men's physical education only. It is hoped that this information and the manner of presentation will aid in determining what is needed …
