An Investigation Of Coulometric Methods Of Analysis Of 1,1-Dimethylhydrazine, David M. Creighton

The oxidation of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine by bromine has been studied using a coulometric method of bromine generation, and a dual intermediate system of bromide and cupric ions in solution. The system allowed over-generation of bromine and back-titration by cupric ion. The results of the investigation showed that the mechanism of oxidation is not fixed, but is a function of the concentration of bromine in the solution at any time. Additional studies have been recommended, whereby the mechanisms of the reactions may be determined.

A literature survey was conducted to determine the factors which affect aerodynamic drag of spheres. Graphs are presented which show the effect of each variable where such information was available. Equipment was designed and built for the purpose of studying the effects of acceleration on the aerodynamic drag of spheres. Special emphasis was placed on the measurement and control of each of the other variables which can affect the drag. Tests were conducted using large spheres in air and water to show that the method presented can produce a valid determination of the drag coefficients. The numerical values of the …

The purpose of this study is to determine why, in the light of local conditions and problems, Utah chose to support President Taft. Why Did Utah prefer the conservative policies of this nationally unpopular figure, while the rest of the nation favored the progressivism of Wilson or the progressivism of Roosevelt? What were the national issues which affected Utah? Who exercised political control in the state? What was the party alignment? How important was newspaper opinion? The purpose of this study was to write a history of the Price, Utah Sun-Advocate and its predecessors, the six early newspapers which evolved into the present Sun-Advocate, with primary emphasis on the personalities involved, the physical changes and the editorial comment. Major economic, political, and social changes were noted as they occurred in the chronological history.

The problem was to create four oil paintings which illustrate Book of Mormon events.
The Book of Mormon seems to hold forth great promise to the painter of religious subjects, but to the present only a limited number of artists have made use of this rich source. There is a need for good illustrations to help these scriptures come to life for the Book of Mormon reader.

The Nauvoo Temple was a unique structure, one which symbolized "Mormonism" in the early period of its history. In its time, the temple stood as the chief structure of the city of Nauvoo. It rivaled all buildings in Illinois and the West during its brief history.
This study reviews the entire history of the temple, from when it was first contemplated until its fateful destruction, and beyond. It sheds light on the setting in which the great edifice was built. Consideration is given to the struggles and sacrifices on the part of workmen and church members who freely gave to …
