Gifted students from minority backgrounds, including low SES, African American and Latinx students, are underrepresented in gifted education, specifically high school Advanced Placement (AP) programs. Despite national legislation and guidance, the federal government allows individual states, including Georgia, to create their own gifted policies and delegate implementation to individual districts. Georgia, like many other states, continues to show inequity in gifted education for minority students and deficiencies in gifted instruction. Zero tolerance behavior management policies in secondary schools contribute to high student suspension and dropout rates. Zero tolerance policies do not provide an alternative solution to correct undesired behaviors and do virtually nothing to target a solution to reduce suspensions and student dropout. The purpose of this qualitative research was to gain insight into secondary school administrators’ perceptions of restorative practices and the impact of restorative practice programs. My qualitative narrative inquiry described how five graduates of Spencer High School and one historically sage educator experienced the transition of desegregation in Columbus, Georgia in the United States. Brown v. Board of Education in Topeka, Kansas, and Brown, II were landmark court decisions that made segregated schools unconstitutional in 1954 and 1955. Columbus did not transition to fully desegregating schools until 1971. The five graduates and one educator cite their experiences about the educational process during segregation and reflected on the transition of the desegregation of schools. Emergent macrophytes in river systems occupy a narrow habitat for optimal survival. Each plant species adapts to a set of conditions that meets the physiological requirements to grow and reproduce. The influence of hydraulic characteristics on plant morphology is significant within fluvial systems. Macrophytes must be able to withstand swift flowing water and changes in water surface levels in order to compete with other plant species for limited habitat availability. The purpose of this qualitative exploratory descriptive study was to explore the perceptions of F1 visa STEM international students at a four-year private university about their social engagement experiences with their American peers, and how the absence of such engagement practices frames the international students’ sense of mattering and marginality and overall college experience. This thesis presents a machine learning (ML) based approach to both model and estimate the parameters of an electric pump system that is used in liquid-propellent rocket engines. This is accomplished by utilizing Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) and inverse Physics-Informed Neural Networks (iPINNs). In an extreme system such as a liquidpropellent rocket engine, accurate control and efciency is imperative for successful performance. The electric pump system is inherently nonlinear and its dynamics are governed by ordinary diferential equations (ODEs). This study aimed to examine the impact of cultural capital (Bourdieu, 1973; Bourdieu & Passeron, 1977) on the access and equity of C-STEM learners of color under the following four tenets of Yosso’s (2005) Community Cultural Wealth model: aspirational, familial, social, and navigational capital. First, it determined how horizontal networks impact relationship morale among newcomers. The study discovered a positive relationship between horizontal networks and newcomers’ relationship morale. The process of intergenerational transmission process is complex and involves a dynamic exchange of explicit teachings, implicit cues, and lived experiences within the parent-child relationship. This systematic review examined the intricate relationship between the intergenerational transmission of cultural values, attachment-based parenting, and child neurology through a mixed-methods approach.
