A Study Of Albinism, And Some Mating Reactions In Psilocybe Mutans, Henry L. Curtis
A Study Of Albinism, And Some Mating Reactions In Psilocybe Mutans, Henry L. Curtis
Theses and Dissertations
In recent taxonomic works albinism is not generally recognized as being present in the Agaricales. This study was made to find how albinism was inherited in Psilocybe mutans McKnight. Cultures of P. mutans were incubated in a constant temperature room at 20-22°C. With artificial lighting at 150 foot candles for 16 hours per day and on a laboratory bench at a comparable temperature with diffuse natural light of a lesser intensity. Numerous fruit-bodies were obtained from cultures which grew on substrates containing hot water extracts of rabbit fecal pellets and from cultures grown on substates containing no fecal extracts. George Romney And The Michigan Gubernatorial Compaign - 1962, Richard C. Fuller
Theses and Dissertations
Politics in Michigan had been on a low plane for a number of years. The troubles were many and their roots could be found deep in the structure of the state's government.
In April of 1959, the sagging governmental structure gave way to the extent that the state was unable to meet its payroll. The result was the much publicized "Payless Pay Day" which attracted national and international interest.
Seeing that their elected officials were seemingly powerless to correct even the basic flaws in Michigan's government, many of the state's leading business and industrial leaders decided to apply their considerable …

A Descriptive Analysis Of The Effectiveness Of Broadcasting By The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints In The Northern States Mission Area, Robert W. Donigan

Analysis Of The Transient Response Of A Flat Rotating Disk By Generalized Transforms, Kenneth Wayne Chase
Theses and Dissertations
The object of this thesis was to lay a foundation for a comprehensive study of the dynamic response of rotating members. This initial phase of the study includes a theoretical investigation and proposes experimental techniques for the determination of the stresses and strains in a thin, rotating disk with a concentric hole, subjected to transient shaft inputs. There are many practical applications of this problem including computor memory storage disks, turbine rotors, grinding wheels, saw blades, gears, optical reflectors, and solar sails for space vehicles.

Heat Flux Measurement By Miniature Calorimeters, Gary Rex Coffin
Heat Flux Measurement By Miniature Calorimeters, Gary Rex Coffin
Theses and Dissertations
During recent years an increasing number of technical firms and manufacturers have begun to specify heat flux, energy input per unit area per unit time, as a testing and designing criteria. This change in the boundary condition (to heat flux from temperature excess or others) evolved from the idea that each material has a characteristic burning temperature. Therefore, the rate of ablation or burning depends mainly upon the rate of energy input into the specimen, and not its temperature. Thus, the need for a flux measuring device became more acute.
