This study will look at at how to better student achievement in an Algebra II course. Specifically this study examines two different modifications made during the second semester of an Algebra II course taught at a high school in Riverside County. The modifications that were made were based on a detailed literature review that suggested looking at how students learn while using PowerPoint software as an instructional tool and at the same time investigate the consequence of rearranging a fairly common and predetermined curriculum pattern.

The wraparound process is characterized by planning and problem solving, respect for values, culture, and expertise. The purpose of this study was to explore attitudes of local policy stakeholders in regards to needle exchange programs (NEPs), focusing on Riverside Council Members to conduct face-to-face interviews using nine closed and open-ended questions. The majority are opposed to implenting NEP's in their ward. Additionally, the majority of participants are opposed to the idea of harm reduction approach with intravenous drug users. This study may be helpful to anyone attempting to establish NEPs in Riverside in designing a public relations campaign that would effectively address the stigma associated with intravenous drug use, HIV/AIDS and needle exchange services.

The purpose of this study is to explore, through semi-structured interviews, public school educators' perspectives on how they interpret and cope/deal with the current high-stakes educational climate. This qualitative study explores how teachers interpret and negotiate top-down mandates and the effects of such mandates on self-efficacy, professional autonomy, and stress. It also investigates what sources of inspiration and/or support perceived by teachers as helpful in cultivating resilience. Semi-structured interviews with seven public elementary school teachers in a Southern California district served as the primary sources of data.

The purpose of the current research was to test the differential effects of feedback type (i.e., self-relevant vs. task-relevant) on individuals with different levels of expertise type (expert vs. novice). The current study examined level of expertise as a moderator of the effects of feedback intervention cue on performance on a sample of 193 female undergraduate psychology students at California State University, San Bernardino.

The following project is an analysis of a section of data collected during the development of thirty-two different undercover anti-bullying teams at Edgewater College. Edgewater College is situated by the Tamaki estuary in Pakuranga, Auckland, New England. The research was based on the data collected from mainstream students, both male and female, with ages ranging from 13-18 years old. The students in this sample have an involvement in bullying that ranges from being peer bystanders, perpetrators and/or bullying targets.

This research evaluated the effectiveness of the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) gang prevention program among elementary school children. The focus of this research is to determine if the G.R.E.A.T. program changes the attitudes and beliefs of elementary school boys and girls who live in areas that are at high risk of gang involvement and gang related crimes.
