An Investigation Of The Color Reproduction Accuracy Of Two Halftoning Algorithms For Dot Matrix Systems, Peter A. Zuber

The recent popularity of dot matrix printing technologies has renewed interest in developing color halftoning techniques for these systems. A color reproduction scheme based on colorimetric principles would provide accurate color rendition, and can be configured to different hardware implementations. Additionally, where there are demands for multiple copies, color reproduction accuracy is assured to the nth generation.

A binary dot matrix halftoning algorithm previously used for black-and-white reproduction (error diffusion) and a new algorithm to be described (EZ method) were investigated in terms of their color reproduction capabilities, with the objective to achieve colorimetric color reproduction.

The purpose of the study was to develop criteria for determining an advantageous site for a sportsmedicine facility from among 91 municipalities in greater St. Louis. Two types of clinics, referral base and doctor-in-house, were compared to select the most appropriate type of facility for the specific site.

To facilitate data collection, greater St. Louis was divided into four regions, including the city of St. Louis as one region and three other regions formed from 90 municipalities in the county. This study applied statistical analysis to the word association method of psychological research to investigate the element of conscious attention, defined as those mental processes which deliver a word a s a response to a stimulus word.

The subjects were 15 males and 15 females from a middle-class suburban community. They were tested individually with a 100 - item word association test. Each subject participated in two testing sessions, and the word association test was administered twice during each session.

This study was done to determine if the women of St. Charles County know about the concept of Women's Resource Centers and their preferences as to the types of services they would use.

The survey was conducted in the St. Charles area. The sample consisted primarily of women. The participants were from varied age groups, income levels and educational backgrounds. There were 350 surveys distributed. Two hundred surveys were used for the results.

This study was done to develop an understanding of what determines a sexual harassment victim. The purpose was to determine if women, who are unskilled and lower paid, have a higher risk of being sexually harassed.

The survey was conducted in the St. Louis area. The sample consisted of both men and women working at various skill levels and incomes. There were 201 respondents, consisting of 132 women and 69 men.

This study examined the effect of incorporating literature in a social studies program. Two sixth grade classes were used. The experimental group had literature pertinent to the subject read to them four days a week for a period of four months. The experimental group covered the same material but spent the entire class period using a basal text. At the end of four months two tests were administered--one to test appreciation and one to test retention. There were no significant differences between the mean scores of the two groups.
