How Men And Women Communicate, Dara Elaine Bremerkamp
How Men And Women Communicate, Dara Elaine Bremerkamp
Theses
Men and women have successfully cohabited for centuries; however, the fact still remains that men and women are different and, therefore, communicate differently. This fact is becoming blatantly apparent in our nation's organizations. It is imperative for the success of our country's organizations that men and women comprehend their own communication process and, more importantly, one another's.
The work force is changing drastically. It has been estimated that the number of traditional White American males entering the work force will be diminished substantially. In fact, women will comprise the largest portion of the incoming work force by year 2000.

How Cultural Values Affect Valuation, Joel Jon Forman
How Cultural Values Affect Valuation, Joel Jon Forman
Theses
The purpose of this study is to describe the factors which affect numismatic appraisals, particularly from a valuation perspective. One of the most important considerations is the role culture played in helping determine value. Much of our knowledge of the ancient world (China, Babylon, Egypt, Israel, Greece, Rome, Persia, India and other civilizations) is derived from the surviving coinage. The coins from these bygone eras reveal the cultural, religious and moral values which played an incredible role in shaping our modern high technological society. Some of these ancient values are reflected in present day coinage.
This study will carefully examine …

In essence, people who claim that television is their main source of news, know less about a greater number of topics.

The Self-Directed Search instrument was administered to 112 individuals working in a variety of occupations in order to measure job congruency. A questionnaire relating to job tenure and job satisfaction was also given to each individual. The information garnered from the SDS and the questionnaire was …

Condemnation And 'Just Compensation' For Business, Timothy F. Hogan
Condemnation And 'Just Compensation' For Business, Timothy F. Hogan
Theses
Since the beginning of time man has always searched for justification in the acquiring of private property to serve some public need. In this endeavor, three explanations for this justification have evolved. They are 'higher law', 'sovereignty' and 'eminent domain', and each of these explanations has been used to forcefully take land from private individuals.
In the beginning land was taken without compensation, and this was justified by the concept of 'divine rule' and the inherent power of the state. Later in man's development, compensation was a stipend paid to the owner of the land in accordance with the prevailing …

Personal interviews were conducted with 16 poor, disabled , unmarried women to determine if the decline in voter turnout statistics that occurs in the mid-seventies indicates a lack of interest in voting by the advanced elderly or the inability to participate when so desired . The study expands upon the existing literature which implicitly accepts disability …

A Study Of The Effect Of Water-Pick Up Of Uv Curable Offset Ink On Its Curing Time And Its End Use Properties, Ike Siti Fatnasari
Theses
The curing time and the end use properties are as important as printing quality for the printer. Shorter curing time equals more jobs and higher productivity each week. The latest available technology for decreasing curing time is Ultraviolet curing technology. This technology uses ultraviolet radiation as the energy source to excite the active site of the monomer in the ink to start the polymerization process. The desired result is a hard polymerized ink film. Another advantage of Ultraviolet curing technology is that the ink is solventless. The screen printing process has the advantage of being a single-fluid printing process. Ink …
