A Directorial Experience: Noises Off, Jennifer Lynn Forrest Apr 1996

A Directorial Experience: Noises Off, Jennifer Lynn Forrest

Theses

Over the years I have been exposed to hundreds of shows, some excellent and other's not quite as good. Few shows that I have read, seen, or been involved with seem to have the appeal to both audiences and theatre groups as that of Michael Frayn's modem farce Noises Off. There are several strong reasons for its appeal.

One of the primary reasons for the play's popularity is that it is a reaction against modem theatre's tendency toward preaching at the audience. Contemporary plays tend to teach morality; and while modern playwrights do occasionally use comedy as a vehicle …

Significance That A Learning Tool To Enhance The Understanding Of The Principles Of Printing Has An Effect On The Productivity Of Color Laser Copier/Printer Operators, Annmarie Scamacca

Theses

As the complexity of laser color copiers/printers evolve in this fast-paced, technological, quick-print industry, the amount of printing knowledge that is required to operate these devices is considerably declining. Advancements in the color laser printing arena are expanding every day. With the introduction of more precocious color printing units coupled with an infinite number of features, a broader market of users becomes available. Increasingly, non-traditional printing users are becoming involved with color copier/printer devices. There are several reasons why this infusion is taking place. Foremost, the technology now exists to convert "ordinary" black pages into full color documents. Secondly, there …

When archiving such large quantities of images, one wants to anticipate as many future uses as possible to avoid further scanning costs. Of all potential uses for an archived …

With annual turnover rates of the certified nurse's aide population estimated in the 100% to 300% range, the magnitude of the problem cannot be disputed. However, with the …

The Effect Of Participation In An Academic Support Group In Combination With Individual Mentoring Upon At Risk Students Grade Point Average, Robyn Greene

Studies involving the use of small groups as an academic tool have indicated success in the student's academic and social advancement. It is a widely held belief that self-concept or self-esteem is involved centrally in the learning process either as a contributing cause or an important outcome (O'Dell, Rak, Chermont, & Hamlin; 1994).
