The purpose of the present study was to examine the extent to which race and self concept were associated in a group of disturbed adolescent girls in residential treatment. I The study drew on an earlier investigation of self concept, which conceived of the self concept as a part of the personality of an individual that acted as a motivating force. The study assumed that self concept was implicated in the dynamics of the disturbances that brought adolescents into treatment, and its purpose was directed towards securing a better understanding of the girls.

"Thermal fatigue resistance of unrestrained samples of type 304 stainless steel has been investigated under different test conditions. The following studies are reported: (a) effects of heating and cooling rates on the initiation of cracks, (b) effects of upper and lower cycle temperatures on the initiation of cracks, (c) effect of water quenching and (d) the manner in which cracks initiated and propagated. It is shown that under cyclic conditions involving maximum temperatures up to 1000°C, the thermal fatigue life of the material decreases rapidly with rise in the maximum temperature of the cycle. "The object of this study was to determine the possibility of developing a mobile home park as a partial solution to the problem of inadequate housing in rural communities. The investigation involved the study of modern mobile homes and mobile home parks, mobile home dwellers, and the social and economic aspects of mobile home living. It was suggested that a properly designed and managed mobile home park can provide a satisfactory location for the placement of mobile homes. "Geologic, stratigraphic, and mineralogic characteristics of the Eocene Wind River and Oligocene White River Formations were determined for the southern portion of the Poison Spider District, Natrona County, Wyoming. Sieve analysis and heavy mineral techniques were used to recognize stratigraphic units, determine their environment of deposition, obtain a better knowledge of the grain size distribution, and to identify a possible source area for the sediments. Particular emphasis was concentrated on the evaluation and interpretation of the available geophysical data (gamma ray and resistivity logs), and geological information which had led to the establishment of several relationships between the local geology …

"Although many methods are known for the kinematic analysis of spatial mechanisms, such as descriptive geometry, vector analysis, dual number theory, matrices, screw calculus, and various other methods, a better way to analyze the specific R-S-S-R four-bar mechanism is to use tensor methods in order to eliminate the apparently formidable and tedious tasks of mathematically formulating problems and obtaining solutions. The analysis described in this paper is developed basically by using tensor notations and operations, and the calculations take advantage of the capabilities of modern digital computers. "Compared to the problem of combinational network (CN) diagnosis, that of sequential network (SN) diagnosis has been an extremely difficult one. Present techniques of SN diagnosis are difficult to apply, and generally lead to lengthy test schedules or additional logic. This paper presents a new approach to the SN diagnostic problem which results in a substantially simpler technique than those found in the literature. The approach is to modify the SN so that it can be diagnosed from a combinatoric point of view.
