The purpose of this study is to, summarize in narrative form the legislative history of the Voting Rights .Act of 1965.~ Its history can be divided into four phases: (1) the presidential address, (2) the legislative history of H. R. 6400 in the United States House of Representatives, (3) the legislative history of S. 1564 in the United Stat es Senate, and ( 4) the signing of the 11.ct by the President of the United States. There has been a great of research conducted to find factors which can be used to predict academic success. A number of these factors have already been identified. For example, college board scores, high school rank, and high school grades are widely used a predictors of academic success. Most of the research that has been conducted has dealt with intellectual factor, but there has been some research done to find non-intellectual factors related to academic success. These non-intellectual factors include: study habits, personality, traits, and environmental factors.

For Cubans there has been a long, historic exile path to the United States. The Spanish historian Justo Zaragoza noted that 100,000 persons fled the island in 1869,2 following the start of the Ten Years' War agitating for independence from Spain. Again in 1895 when the War for Independence broke out, Cuban colonies were founded in Southern Florida, Tampa, and other U.S. cities.

It is the purpose of this study to discuss Dryden's adaptations of Shakespeare's The Tempest, Antony and Cleopatra, and Troilus and Cressida. As a background for this study, Restoration drama will be discussed from the standpoint of the following criteria: relationship to Elizabethan drama; Restoration audiences, theaters, and fashion; adaptations, primarily of Shakespeare; D’Avenant, Dryden, and heroic drama; and finally, English opera in the Restoration period. The first of the five chapters in this discussion will be concerned with the items listed above.
