This study investigated emotional health and health habits of undergraduate nursing students at a university in the Southeastern U.S. Healthy habits had significant positive associations with health-specific hope and significant negative associations with anxiety and depression in the students. These findings will inform future interventions to increase hope and self-efficacy.

This study investigated the impact of nurse work environment on nurse outcomes, nurse-perceived quality of care and patient safety in Saudi Arabia. Three components of nurse work environment, that were critical to improved nurse outcomes and better quality and safe care delivery, were identified. Implications for nurse leaders were provided.

Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme (MCPDP) aims to improve nurses" skills and competencies for practice. This study assessed the perceived relevance of MCPDP to nurse educators" practice. Findings showed their satisfaction with the learning exposure but without relevance for improvement of their ICT teaching and learning competencies; and teaching strategies.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a global health concern, with symptom burdens that rival cancer. Little is known about symptoms and outcomes in CKD. The purpose of this presentation, therefore, is to characterize the symptom experience across CKD stages 3-5 and examine associations with factors including health status, and hospitalizations.

Patient outcomes improve when nurses deliver care congruent with a patient"s cultural values, beliefs, and lifestyles. The authors created evidence-based, cultural scenarios and placed students into immersion simulations for learning. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of using innovative strategies to address health disparities, increase cultural awareness, and minimize implicit bias.

This study is a preliminary one which employed descriptive cross-sectional design. Overall, a significant relationship was observed between resilience level of the nurses and their job performances (p =0.00) but no significant relationship was found between WRS and resilience (p =0.36); and job performances (P = 0.58).

The purpose of this descriptive phenomenological study was to investigate the lived experience of traumatic amputations as talked about by eight female Haitian adults who suffered an amputation as a result of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
