We conducted a survey to investigate the geriatric care competencies of nurses in the hospital. We found that nurse who have already received geriatric care continuous education have higher geriatric care competencies. We suggested that more geriatric care continuous education should be established and standardized in our nursing continuous education.

When and how to mobilize stroke patients in the early, hospital period remains controversial. We surveyed an interdisciplinary team of stroke providers about their perceptions of early mobilization after stroke. Results suggest uncertainty related to physiological issues such as orthostasis and the deep vein thrombosis (VTE).

A study to explore the knowledge of entry level nursing administrators on the dilemma of current nursing work environment in Taiwan. 1,829 persons received the test in total. The overall average is 65.37. Passing score is set at 60. As such, 1,384 persons passed with a pass rate of 75.5%.

It was showed from the generalized estimating equation that the scores of rehabilitation motivation of the experimental group in the post-tests six weeks after and three months after the intervention was 3.10 and 2.54 points more than those of the control group, reaching significant difference statistically (p< 0.05).

Structured patient education sessions teach oncology patients about newly prescribed oral chemotherapy medication. Sessions assist patients to identify barriers that may cause non-adherence to prescribed medication. Sessions promote skills, increase knowledge and improve positive healthcare provider relationships which maintain adherence when medication regimens are given in the outpatient setting.
