“You Just Haven’T Found The Right Person Yet.”: A Study Of The Relationship Differences Between Asexual And Allosexual Individuals, Faith M. Conway

Asexuality is an underreported and scarcely researched group. This study aimed to determine relationship and relationship goal differences between asexual and allosexual individuals. Using 134 responses to a Qualtrics survey, the current research found only one self-identified asexual individual and five total Asexuality Identification Scale identified individuals. Results showed little difference between Allosexual and Asexual relationships and relationship goals. There was a significant difference between the realization of an identity different from heterosexual and the self-claiming of an identity name.

This review presents a comprehensive exploration of the positive psychological effects of video games, challenging prevalent negative stereotypes. It explains how video games contribute to the cognitive enhancement of problem-solving abilities and improve working memory. This paper examines the relationship between the 1970s women’s movement and the 1979 conservative takeover of the Southern Baptist Convention. The discussion includes initial reactions to the women’s movement, the conservative emphasis on biblical inerrancy, and the ordination issue. Paul Pressler, Paige Patterson, Adrian and Joyce Rogers, and many other prominent Southern Baptists are also discussed. The thesis also includes some discussion on the connection between race and gender hierarchies within the Southern Baptist Convention. Racism, underrepresentation, and anti-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) movements are current, ongoing battles on college campuses across the nation, specifically at predominantly white institutions (PWIs) and universities. This study will examine the influence of race and other relevant factors on undergraduate students’ sense of belonging on their college campuses by understanding how students define and use race to shape and change their lives. This thesis analyzes the life of Virginia Woolf and her foundational feminist text, A Room of One’s Own (AROO) to understand women’s need for control in their journey to become Authors through Woolf’s requirements of “500 a year and a room with a lock on the door.” It discusses the significance of becoming a capital A Author and how authorship impacted women’s lives in the eighteenth, nineteenth, and even twentieth centuries. Title IX in collegiate athletics aims to provide female athletes with the same opportunities as their male counterparts, through equal resources, financial scholarships, viewership, etc by prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender. Poor water quality can lead to adverse health effects, and having access to clean water is essential to overall health. There are many possible sources of water contamination, and it is important to properly maintain water to ensure that it is up to standard. Socioeconomic status (SES) may influence drinking water quality, and marginalized populations may be the victims of disparities. This study delves into the perceptions and experiences of college students regarding the utilization of mental health services at a university in the central Appalachian region of the United States. Focusing on understanding barriers to help-seeking, perceived stressors, and preferences for mental health resources, the research aims to inform strategies for enhancing mental health support on campus. A total of 91 undergraduate students completed an electronic survey at Eastern Kentucky University, providing insights into their attitudes towards seeking professional help, perceived stressors, and factors influencing help-seeking behavior. This research aims to give insight into factors contributing to seasonal variation of karst cave drip water hydrochemistry relative to surface condition. The study area is a small show cave, Diamond Caverns, located just outside the boundary of Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. Various water chemistry parameters, such as chloride, pH, and temperature were monitored. A YSI EXO2 was deployed to measure the aforementioned parameters at one-hour intervals in a drip water pool starting in November 2023. The Icelandic Commonwealth was an example of an effective justice system that was unique in its decentralization and ability to operate without an executive governmental body. Evidence of this can be observed through several primary sources including the Icelandic sagas, historical chronicles, and legal codes. The Commonwealth era began at the end of the age of settlement and establishment of the Icelandic Althing, a national assembly that included the legislative and judicial processes by which Commonwealth operated. The accumulation of polluted runoff in retention ponds can create water quality conditions that favor development of harmful algal blooms, including toxin-producing cyanobacteria. This can present a health risk to pedestrians and nearby residents, as many such ponds are surrounded by walkways or housing complexes. Blooms can also cause harm to natural ecosystems, periodically causing hypoxic conditions and toxin buildups. Algal blooms that produce toxins that are harmful to the health of people, animals, and the environment are known as harmful algal blooms (HABs). According to the CDC, approximately 5.8 million Americans suffered from Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in 2020. AD is characterized by progressive memory loss and typically develops after the age of 60. There are many studies that suggest different causes of Alzheimer’s such as oxidative damage, amyloid plaque buildup, and metabolic dysfunction. Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) is an enzyme that is found in many tissues within the body and functions within cellular metabolism. Communication and sensing technologies are influenced by atmospheric properties such as the air’s index of refraction, humidity, and temperature in the marine atmospheric surface layer (MASL). Recent research has demonstrated that radar can remotely sense the index of refraction in the MASL and, sometimes, numerical weather prediction models (NWP) can be used to aid this process. These developments are important because they allow for larger spatial coverage and finer temporal resolution than is possible with in-situ atmospheric sensors. Determining The Lightcurves And Rotational Periods Of Four Main Belt Asteroids, Kaitlyn Kalisek

This research found lightcurves and rotational periods of four main belt asteroids, 2854 Rawson, 5142 Okutama, (14362) 1988 MH, and 28248 Barthelemy. The A&M-Commerce observatory 0.7 meter telescope equipped with a CCD camera was used to collect multiple nights of data for each asteroid which was then analyzed to determine the asteroid’s lightcurve, rotational period, and create a possible 3D model. The rotational periods were found to be 4.775 ± 0.001 h for 2854 Rawson, 3.803 ± 0.001 h for 5142 Okutama, 3.645 ± 0.001 h for (14362) 1988 MH, and 3.128 ± 0.002 h for 28248 Barthelemy.

This research utilized a computational study with SPARTAN’20 software to analyze the energetics of the Diels-Alder (DA) reaction between substituted furan and maleimide. The products of this type of reaction can lead to the production of hydrogels. Hydrogels are used in multiple biomedical applications, such as controlled drug delivery systems, wound dressings (liquid bandages), contact lenses, and more. The DA reaction involves a diene (a hydrocarbon with two conjugated π bonds) and a dienophile (a hydrocarbon with one π bond). This study examines the economic factors of demand that affect Americans’ desire to purchase tickets for professional sporting events. Most notably, it illustrates how changing household disposable income affects demand for the quality and quantity of attendance to NBA, NFL, and MLB games. Utilizing the total annual attendance of every U.S.-based professional team in these three leagues over a nine-year period, as well as the cost of tickets and other attendance-related expenses (e.g., concession prices), we obtain the total income elasticity of demand. Military systems require monitoring a wide frequency range of the RF spectrum to detect and monitor enemy targets. A vital component of that is calculating the direction of arrival of enemy radars. The use of compressive sensing architectures like the Nyquist Folding Receiver (NyFR) allow for computationally cheap capturing of wideband signals; however, these techniques make traditional direction of arrival (DOA) estimation techniques difficult. The Catholic Church is at a moment of receiving those with disabilities through catechetics, liturgical accommodations, and structured ecclesial guidelines; the Church realizes that the reception of Catholics with disabilities is necessary. Throughout his pontificate, Pope Francis has utilized the two poles of Neo-Pelagianism and Gnosticism to speak about this liturgical fragmentation, or “spiritual worldliness”. The use of benzotetramisole (BTM) as a catalyst is a promising strategy for enantioselective organophosphorus synthesis since the reaction has been previously reported by Numan and Brichacek and has been tested in Dr. Erb’s research laboratory. However, the yields are only moderate (46-58%) and the enantiomeric excess (ee) of the purified product are poor, with 62% being the highest reported ee. Predation is a major source of mortality for prey, which creates a selective pressure to avoid predators whenever possible. By using alarm cues produced by conspecifics, individuals can be alerted of nearby predators without coming into direct contact with them. However, whether individuals can distinguish between different conspecific cues or whether some cues might indicate a more severe predation threat than others is not known.
