Attitudes Toward And Extent Of Leasing In The Printing Industry, Raymond Joseph Prince
Attitudes Toward And Extent Of Leasing In The Printing Industry, Raymond Joseph Prince
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Since 1955 the printing industry has been looking at leasing as a means of financing. There have been controversy over the advantages of leasing and what benefits it can be expected to offer. This project was undertaken because of the small amount of research in this area and because of the lack a combined body of knowledge about leasing. A third reason for undertaking this study was because of the financial pressure, especially in this continued era of tight money, which forces the search for new answers to capitalization. The study was carried out by mailing a questionnaire, covering letter …

Electronic Theses and Dissertations
From time to time new methods and techniques are developed in halftone photography which add convenience and accuracy to operation. Increased quality in less time and with fewer problems are the results of such developments. Printing customers are becoming more quality conscious and the printer must strive to bring them the results of new dimensions and techniques if he wants to survive in competition. Black and white halftone photography is one of the most delicate skilled crafts in the field of graphic arts. The varying quality of continuous-tone originals probably presents the biggest challenge to a cameraman. There are tonal …

It is an established fact that the number of trucks and automobile s has undergone a rapid increase since World War II and will continue to increase in the foreseeable future. This tremendous increase has strained the capabilities of the highway system over which the motor vehicles are operating. The increase in traffic, particularly heavy truck traffic, as brought about a need for a stronger but more flexible pavement which will withstand the heavy wheel loading without the maintenance problems that are common to many pavements which have been subjected to large traffic volumes and heavy wheel loads. There are …

In recent years we have seen significant advances in technology. The present period has often been called the Age of Massive Engineering by many authorities. This high rate of advancement has been initiated and supported by the space race as well as the demands of industry. New technologies provide the backbone for new and complex development projects which in turn end up as management’s responsibility for administration. The importance of time and efficiency in controlling a project is at the top of management’s list. Many times the success of a project depends as much on the time of completion as …

The end result achieved has a major bearing on the company’s financial strength and competitive position, since it directly affects the quality of service to customers, production costs, earnings and soundness of working capital position. Two facts reinforce this estimate of the importance of inventory …
