Attitudes Of Brookings High School Students Toward Variant Media And Use Of Library Resources, Joan D. Tabor
Attitudes Of Brookings High School Students Toward Variant Media And Use Of Library Resources, Joan D. Tabor
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
A study such as this is important in that a student with the desire to keep abreast of current events should have an equal opportunity to read the current periodicals. If the home is unable financially to provide this material, the schools should assume the role of provider. If all students have access to current materials and do not depend upon library periodicals; perhaps the amount of money being budgeted cannot be justified. The objectives of this study were to determine: 1. What media did the students of Brookings High School use for information gathering and/or opinion formulation concerning current …

Attitudes Of Women Toward Career Apparel Uniforms And The Relation To Personality Traits, Mary Ellen Hornstra
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Recently there has been a movement toward what Has been termed “corporate itentity”. One means of achieving this identity is by attiring the employee in a uniform mode of dress. Then uniform then becomes a means of identifying an employee with a specific occupation or business enterprise. Research, which has been conducted concerning professional uniforms, has placed little emphasis on determining how the employee themselves felt about wearing a uniform. It has been stated that uniforms are an asset to the business organization itself, but the merits of wearing a uniform must also be evaluated in terms of the employee …

Relationships between selected (1) socioeconomic, academic, and self concept variables and (2) college persistence and stability of program choice were investigated in this study. The research was centered around the view of the self as a phenomenal self. Reference group theory …

It is known that coyotes can hear high pitched tones of higher frequency than that of the human ear. The overall goal of this research is to investigate the feasibility of using ultrasound to repel predators, mainly the coyote, from livestock. It has also been found from preliminary experiments that there is a significant increase in the heart rate of the coyote during exposure to noise levels of 100 to 110 …
