The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore the lived experiences of retired senior pastors’ (RSPs) involvement in ministry following retirement. The study sought to understanding the perceived impact of RSPs on the ministry of American evangelical Protestant church of RSPs after retirement. The rationale behind the research was the phenomenon that a significant portion of the cohort of retired senior pastors continue to serve in ministry after they have retired. Liturgical dance, when combined with other biblical elements in addition to worship, can revolutionize the life of a disciple. This mixed-method study explores the infusion of liturgical dance and discipleship as another method that can be used to help disciples better understand the scriptures used in the pastor’s message on fulfilling the Great Commission. The purpose of this bivariate correlational study was to identify whether there was a relationship between Hispanic students’ high school absenteeism and their scores on the Algebra I Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) and to identify whether there was a relationship between Hispanic students’ high school absenteeism and their aspiration to pursue STEM careers. Parental stress is an expected phenomenon during the parenting of an adolescent. Higher levels of parental stress are associated with an adolescent with externalizing behavior. Parents are instrumental in the development of adolescents and are critical agents of change with youth problematic behavior. Family functioning is often determined in part by a parent’s ability to adequately respond and manage their adolescent’s behavior and their environment. Focusing on improving family relations has been known to positively impact both parent and adolescent. Opioid misuse relating to prescription pain killers have claimed the lives of many Americans, posing an escalating nationwide public health crisis. Prescription opioid overdose and death can impair an individual’s functionality, destabilizes family, and impose a significant financial burden. In 2014, the U.S. had an estimated 36 million people ages 12 years and older who had used prescription opioids for non-medical reasons. In that same year, there were “28,647” (61%) of 47,055 prescription and non-prescription opioid overdose deaths, indicating an increase from previous years (Center for Disease Control (CDC, 2020). Delirium in elderly hospitalized adults continues to be a common and costly issue in health care today. This research was designed to explore how the traditional Model of Black Femininity stereotypes portrayal of Mammy, Sapphire, Jezebel, and Strong Black Women and maternal anxious mother attachment potentially impacts adolescent Black girls’ self-esteem. These constructs are relevant to increasing concerns regarding developing a high level of self-esteem and psychological well-being amongst adolescent Black girls. This phenomenological qualitative inquiry explored the lived experiences of African American/Black (AA/Black) doctoral counselor education and supervision students in relation to faculty-student mentoring relationships. The literature review provides a theoretical framework based on Miller’s (1976) theory of relational-cultural theory. Data were collected through a demographic survey and in-depth telephone interviews. Data analysis included identifying participants’ significant themes, utilizing themes to create structural and textural descriptions, and ultimately describing the essence of participants’ experiences. The five themes that emerged, related to participants’ lived experiences, were these: belonging within the African American/Black community, coping, racism, and multiculturalism. Educational research continues to show that teachers are leaving the field of education in large numbers for a variety of reasons. One documented reason for teacher attrition is job-related stress. This correlational, predictive study examined the relationships between the predictor variables of school climate (collaboration, decision-making, instructional innovation, school resources, and student relations) with the criterion variable of teacher stress among fourth- and fifth-grade public school teachers from across the United States. Historically, African Americans males have scored significantly lower than other subgroups on standardized assessments and in academic grades. In addition, African American males have also acquired more disciplinary infractions than all other subgroups. In general, statistics show that adolescent boys have lower achievement and more deviant behaviors than all other subgroups. Boys often struggle with the lack of motivation to excel in school and display appropriate character. A significant percentage of medications prescribed in the United States are prescribed to elderly adults, which is due to the increase in chronic illness as Americans age. This increase in the use of medications amongst the elderly population has led to the issue of polypharmacy, which can lead to negative patient outcomes. Preventative care in free clinic settings aims to mitigate health risks for vulnerable populations. Heavy alcohol intake is a major threat to physical and mental health. Over 300,000 hospitalized patients suffer a cardiac arrest requiring a Code Blue activation each year in the United States. These patients have an extremely high mortality rate. These rates are not uniform across all hospitals and facilities that employ specialize Code Blue resuscitation teams have a higher percentage of patients that survive resuscitation events.
