Spring Rod Tensioner For Airbag
Spring Rod Tensioner For Airbag
Defensive Publications Series
A spring rod helps apply tension to a curtain airbag when deployed along a vehicle side structure and across window openings thereof. The spring rod aids in deployment by tensioning or pulling the curtain airbag into the desired position, so the airbag does not get stuck during deployment. Thereafter, the spring rod tensions the inflated and deployed curtain airbag along the side structure and across the window opening(s) and helps to maintain its position throughout the crash event. This can be especially advantageous for vehicles with large headroom and tall windows.

Powder Collector For Elastomeric Materials, Hp Inc
Powder Collector For Elastomeric Materials, Hp Inc
Defensive Publications Series
Cake is when a material “sticks” together with itself, leading to large spongy regions of powder.
It is an important factor in the printing of elastomers in Multi-Jet Fusion. Cake is caused by time
at temperature of the powder that causes the surface of the powder to flow, leading to change in
rheological properties of the powder. The more time at temperature the powder is exposed to, the
harder the cake will be.
Keeping the integrity of cake to test powder properties is incredibly difficult. It is sometimes
needed to check the behavior of the white powder on online tests …
Ink Delivery System With Intermediate Tank Ink Mixing Feature, Hp Inc
Ink Delivery System With Intermediate Tank Ink Mixing Feature, Hp Inc
Defensive Publications Series
More and more, Large Format and 3D printers include more difficult inks/agents to maintain
them healthy (due to pigment settling, ink aging, etc.) and Ink Delivery Systems have tried to
overcome this challenge with complex recirculation systems that recirculate ink through the
tubes, cartridges, tanks and even through the printhead.
However, such systems are very complex, with a lot of hardware components, complicated
algorithms and overall, too expensive for some printer segments.
Some printers with a high printing usage do not need to recirculate through all the system, and
only ink mixing in the Intermediate Tank would be required, …

When a supply is stored, the heavier pigments settle on the bottom part of the supply. Due to that,
prior to installing a new ink supply, it is necessary to do a certain number of shakes to ensure that the
ink is properly mixed.
In some printers, a printhead receives a stream of printing fluid from an Intermediate Tank, which is
supplied with ink from a supply tank by an ink pump. Depending on the Intermediate Tank orientation,
the heavier pigments settle on the deposit.
If the ink is not properly mixed, there would be depleted and enriched ink inside …
Process To Detect Air Leakages In A 3d Printer, Hp Inc
Process To Detect Air Leakages In A 3d Printer, Hp Inc
Defensive Publications Series
In 3D printers, the Powder fusion process occurs in a sealed environment called print chamber,
that is kept at negative pressure (relative to client room); the print chamber is sealed not only to
prevent undesired contamination of the client room, but also to avoid unwanted air leaks from
the client room (or by other zone of the 3D printer itself) to the print chamber. In fact, these air
leaks may cause unwanted airflows in the printing area: they cool down only a specific zone of
the printable area, changing the energy balance in this region and therefore affecting Part
Quality. …

Super Forward Error Correction (Fec) For Long-Term Reference Frame (Ltrf) Recovery Frames, Thomas Davies
Super Forward Error Correction (Fec) For Long-Term Reference Frame (Ltrf) Recovery Frames, Thomas Davies
Defensive Publications Series
A Forward Erasure Correction (FEC) scheme improves resilience but can be overwhelmed by losses. Using long-term reference frames (LTRFs), the prediction structures in a video coding may be reset at a special recovery frame. Consequently, there is a need to adequately protect LTRFs. To address such a need, techniques are presented herein that support a FEC scheme for protecting LTRFs without increasing latency. Aspects of the techniques presented herein treat the LTRFs as a base layer for the purposes of layered FEC coding. Thus, it is possible to think of a normal scalable coding scheme with, for example, two temporal …
