Control Method Of Serial / Parallel Boosting System With E-Boosting Devices
Control Method Of Serial / Parallel Boosting System With E-Boosting Devices
Defensive Publications Series
Two-stage turbochargers are often used for IC engines to achieve higher overall pressure ratios resulting in increased the power density within the short duration of the intake valve opening. A typical two stage application may use the first turbocharger for pre-compressing the air (low pressure compressor) while the second compressor lifts the boost pressure to the desired level. A serial compressor and parallel turbine configuration often causes knocking and control issues for engine because of different pressure in different manifolds. The proposed solution uses electric motors on both the shafts to maintain desired pressure in exhaust manifolds.
Integrated Cast Noise Suppressor On Compressor Housing With Ported Shroud
Integrated Cast Noise Suppressor On Compressor Housing With Ported Shroud
Defensive Publications Series
Ported Shroud for a compressor housing allows air from downstream of compressor wheel inducer to recirculate back to upstream in order to increase flow stability and avoid surge. However, this results in an increase in noise produced by the compressor. Noise suppressors that are typically added at the inlet to address this problem make inlet assembly complex and increase the cost. The proposed solution addresses this issue with a novel design of a ported shroud in which noise suppressor is integrated into the compressor inlet and cast as a single component.

Defensive Publications Series
The manuscript reveals new pixel arrangement and duplication approaches that can switch display resolution. It only involves data duplication without scaling, so is power saving approach from panel side. And it allows the system to really treat it as a lower resolution display and thus also saves power from system side. Also most importantly, the unique features are it introduces the concepts of void pixel and average pixel in the pixel arrangement, and thus can be used on any resolution switching, even though we use 1.5X resolution switching as an example.

Hierarchical Load Distribution Of Layer 2 Traffic, Anonymous
Defensive Publications Series
Hierarchical load distribution allows optimal spread of traffic across multiple links when the traffic traverses multiple nodes using redundancy protection technologies in a Layer 2 (L2) network (e.g., MC-LAG: multi-chassis link aggregation group) regardless of the various link failures that may occur in the topology. Optimal LAG load-distribution is achieved from a receptor LAG perspective when the transmitter LAG is a logical LAG across multiple nodes with L2 traffic. This is achieved through hierarchical Load Distribution which considers the multi-node transmitter LAG ports with members to perform the lowest level of load-distribution in the hierarchy in the usual way and …

Refrigerant Flooded Power Electronics Cooling
Refrigerant Flooded Power Electronics Cooling
Defensive Publications Series
Indirect cooling method for power electronics, such as inverters, typically involves transferring heat away from the components without direct contact with the cooling medium. They are not very efficient for high power applications and often demand higher creepage and clearances between the components of the PCB. The proposed solution uses a direct cooling approach by flooding the power electronics PCBs with refrigerant. This direct contact cooling not only improves the cooling efficiency but also reduces overall packaging size by reducing the creepage clearances.
