Korean Informal Caregivers' Experience For Family With Dementia: Difficulties And Strategies, Sohyun Kim

The study explored nine Korean informal caregiver's experiences for people living with dementia. The qualitative description was used to analyze in-depth interviews. Participants identified six caregiving difficulties and six strategies they used. The results indicates focus areas for interventions to help informal caregivers manage their distress and caregiving skills.

This is an exploratory descriptive study of emotional and mental health palliative care needs in patients with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Results from 120 free-texted responses thematic analyzed indicate EDS patients have several mental health and emotional palliative care needs they are hesitant to discuss with their healthcare providers.

This was a quantitative study utilizing a convenience sample of faculty at one school of nursing. Multiple gratitude interventions were implemented throughout the year and a pre and post survey administered to measure effectiveness of interventions. The findings showed an improvement of 17.9% in overall job satisfaction.

This diabetes prevention program suggests that Fitbits and frequent follow-up with individualized coaching strategies by healthcare team members can be a cost-effective motivational tool to increase physical activity among rural individuals with prediabetes. The increasing complexity of medication regimens leaves older adults vulnerable to the hazards of polypharmacy and adverse drug reactions especially during care transitions. This comprehensive EBP project demonstrated an overall improvement in high-risk medication knowledge from a group mean of 3.8 (Pre) to 4.42 (Post), meeting the defined 4.0 benchmark.

There is a high prevalence of asymptomatic bacteriuria in elderly long-term care facility (LTCF) residents. Antibiotics are frequently prescribed in reflex to diagnostic tests in the absence of signs or symptoms of urinary tract infection (UTI).
