On The Properties Of Q-Bernstein-Type Polynomials, Serkan Araci, Mehmet Acikgoz, Armen Bagdasaryan
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
The aim of this paper is to give a new approach to modified q-Bernstein polynomials for functions depend on the several variables. We derive the recurrence formulas related to the second Stirling numbers and generalized Bernoulli polynomials. Moreover, the interpolation function of these polynomials depend on the several variables and the derivatives of these polynomials and also their generating function are given. Final part of this paper, we get new interesting identities of modified q-Bernoulli numbers and q-Euler numbers applying p-adic q-integral representation on Zp and p-adic fermionic q-invariant integral on Zp, respectively, to the inverse of q-Bernstein polynomials.

Efforts have been made in recent times by educators and researchers to provide learners with appropriate learning objects (LO) based on their learning style (LS). Previous studies on the classification of LS, typically classifyLS based on the description of the LS preference itself without giving attention to the student preferences. This study presents a new knowledge in classifying learning material based on learning style. In this paper, we propose Elman Neural Network (ENN) trained by using Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) (ABCENN) to create a classifier for the classification of LS (Diverging, Accommodating, Converging, and Assimilating) based on student preference of teaching …

Numerical Solution Of A Forward-Backward Equation From Physiology, M. Filomena Teodoro
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
The aim of this paper is to determine the numerical solution of an equation which models the nerve conduction in a myelinated axon. An appropriate stimulus begins a propagate action potential which travels down the axon. It can be understood as a traveling wave of voltage. It is proposed a computational approximation for the solution of a forward-backward differential equation that models nerve conduction. We look for a solution of an equation defined in R, which tends to known values at ±¥. Extending the approach introduced in [13, 29, 14] for linear case, a numerical method for the solution of …

Differential And Integral Equations For The 3-Variable Hermite-Frobenius-Euler And Frobenius-Genocchi Polynomials, Serkan Araci, Mumtaz Riyas, Shahid Ahmad Wani, Subuhi Khan
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
The main goal of the present article is to derive some new classes of differential equations including partial and integrodifferential equations for the 3-variable Hermite-Frobenius-Euler and Frobenius-Genocchi polynomials by use of the factorization method. We also perform a further investigation for aforementioned polynomials and derive corresponding homogeneous Volterra integral equations. The differential equations for these families of polynomials contain, as their special cases, the differential equations for some known special polynomials. Moreover, the inclusion of integral equations is a new and recent investigation which adds some extra attention to these polynomials.

Solitary Wave Solutions Of The Benjamin-Bona- Mahoney-Burgers Equation With Dual Power-Law Nonlinearity, Mostafa M. A. Khater, Dianchen Lu, Emad H. M. Zahran
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
In this paper, we employ the extended tanh function method to find the exact traveling wave solutions and solitary wave solutions involving parameters of the Benjamin-Bona-Mahoney-Burgers equation with dual power-law nonlinearity. When these parameters are taken to be special values, the solitary wave solutions are derived from the exact traveling wave solutions. These studies reveal that the Benjamin-Bona-Mahoney-Burgers Equation with Dual Power-law nonlinearity has a rich variety of solutions

Mathematical Modelling And Analysis Of Solar Pv Based Modified Quadratic Boost Converter For Extraction Of Maximum Power, A. Matheswaran, C. Ganesh Babu
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
A dc-dc boost converter is essential for Solar PV system to step up the low voltage to required voltage and for maximum power point tracking from Solar PV panel/array. Boost converters are generally operated with high duty ratio to achieve the higher output voltage. This high duty ratio limits the switching frequency because of high reverse recovery time, also it results poor efficiency and electromagnetic interference. The solar PV based modified quadratic boost converter is proposed in this paper. It offers high output voltage in low duty ratio and thus eliminates the above mentioned drawbacks. Also the voltage stress is …

On General Complementarity Problems, Muhammad Aslam Noor, Khalida Inayat Noor
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
Complementarity problems provide a unified and general framework for studying a wide class of unrelated problems. In this paper, we use the change of variables technique to establish the equivalence between the general complementarity problem and the fixed point problem. This equivalence is used to study the existence of a solution of general complementarity problems and suggest an iterative method. Our methods of analysis is very simple as compared with other techniques. These results can be viewed as significant refinements of the previously known results.

Some statistical and nonclassical properties of the squeezed coherent field are discussed through the evolution of the Wehrl entropy. The effects of the initial atomic state position, squeeze parameter and shape function of time-dependent coupling within the atomic speed are examined. It is shown that the atomic speed and squeeze have the potential effect on the time evolution of the entanglement, the Wehrl entropy and …
On The Inverse Problem For Thermostatted Kinetic Models With Application To The Financial Market, Carlo Bianca, Aly Kombargi
On The Inverse Problem For Thermostatted Kinetic Models With Application To The Financial Market, Carlo Bianca, Aly Kombargi
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
This paper is concerned with the coupling of the inverse problem theory with the thermostatted kinetic theory. Specifically an inverse problem is proposed where the data vector consists of m known measures, the data kernel is a m×n matrix which depends on the distribution function vector that is solution of the thermostatted kinetic theory model, and the unknown source or signal consists of a n-dimensional vector. In particular the paper focuses on the under-determined inverse problem, namely m < n, and the solution is obtained by employing the principle of maximum Shannon entropy of the information theory. Applications refer to the financial market and specifically to the derivation of the information which triggers the evolution of global stock market indexes. Future research directions are also discussed into the last section of the paper.

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
A chiral spin flipping gate is simulated by specially designed quantum circuits. We consider using ancillary qubits to accomplish the algorithm as well as quantum circuits based on different basic operations. Three methods are applied to build these algorithms, which result in three different quantum circuits that all realize the evolution process of the system. We also implement our quantum algorithms on the IBM Quantum Experience.

Propagation Of Rayleigh Waves In Fiber-Reinforced Anisotropic Solid Thermo-Viscoelastic Media Under Effect Of Rotation, F. S. Bayones, Nahed S. Hussien
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
In this paper, we investigated the propagation of Rayleigh waves in a homogeneous, pre-stressed elastic layer of finite thickness over a homogeneous, pre-stressed elastic half - space subjected to the rotation. The dispersion equation has been derived for a layer over a half-space, when both media are considered as pre-stressed and the effect of initial rotation shown in earlier investigators, is in general not applicable to the case of pre-stressed media. The results indicate that the effect of the rotation on the Propagation of Rayleigh waves in Fiber- reinforced isotropic solid thermo-viscoelastic media are very pronounced.

Linguistic-Valued Logics Based On Hedge Algebras And Applications To Approximate Reasoning, Nguyen Thi-Minh-Tam, Tran Duc-Khanh
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
Humans reason by means of their own language and they can choose and decide alternatives by evaluating semantics of linguistic terms. The fundamental elements in human reasoning are sentences normally containing vague concepts, and these sentences have implicitly or explicitly a truth degree, which is often expressed also by linguistic terms such as more or less false, very false, false, true, very true, more or less true, approximately true, etc. In this article, we introduce a linguistic-valued predicate logic along with an inference system based on resolution. The truth domain of the logic is a refined hedge algebra, generated by …
Fractal Aesthetics In Architecture, Wolfgang E. Lorenz, Jan Andres, Georg Franck
Fractal Aesthetics In Architecture, Wolfgang E. Lorenz, Jan Andres, Georg Franck
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
This paper deals with fractal aesthetics and proposes a new fractal analysis method for the perceptual study of architecture. The authors believe in the universality of formulas and aim to complement the architectural description in terms of proportion. Although a well established fractal analysis method to describe the complexity of facades across different scales already exists, box-counting is imprecise because of too many influences coming along with the method itself. The authors consider the self-similarity as an important part of aesthetic quality in architecture. This is due to the fact that it describes a concept of consistency that holds everything …
